A tissue product comprising cellulosic fibers and having at least 10% of fugitive wet strength and at least about 3% of a fiber-flexibilizing composition. The fugitive wet strength can be generated by adding a binder that promotes acid-catalyzed formation of hemiacetal functional inter-fiber cross-links. The fiber-flexibilizing composition can comprise either a humectant or a plasticizer. The humectant can be selected from the group consisting of calcium chloride; lactic acid and its salts, high fructose corn syrup, glycerol, triacetin, sorbitol, maltitol, mannitol, propylene glycol, and any combination thereof. The plasticizer can be selected from the group consisting of urea, alkyloxylated glycols, dextrose, sucrose, ethylene carbonate, propylene carbonate, and any combination thereof.

SOLUTION: This paper product is produced by impregnating base paper during or after the paper-making process with a processing liquid that contains one or more of hydrocarbons such as liquid paraffin and squalane, plant oils such as olive oil and camellia oil, waxes such as beeswax and lanolin, higher alcohols such as cetanol and stearyl alcohol, and also a water-soluble wax, such as polyethylene glycol having average molecular weight of 1000-20,000. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing wiper sheet generating little paper powder while using used paper pulp as a material at a high blending ratio. SOLUTION: Wet paper with a moisture rate of 5.8-6.8% is made by adding a dry paper strength enhancing agent at a rate of 10.0-25.0 kg/t and a wet paper strength enhancing agent at a rate of 15-25 kg/t to the raw material pulp with used pulp blended at a blending ratio of 90-100%, and the wet paper is dried and crept in such a way that the extension rate is 17.0-25.0% in drying the wet paper to obtain the wiper. In this case, the blending ratio of the used pulp is the mass ratio of the used pulp to the total mass of the raw material pulp; the amount of the dry paper strength enhancing agent and the wet paper strength enhancing agent to be added is the mass per 1t of a suspension of the raw material pulp suspended with water; and the extension rate is computed by formula, "((length in the extended state-length in the contracted state)/length in the contracted state) ×100".
