Journal ArticleDOI

Analysis of CO2 removal by hollow fiber membrane contactors

TL;DR: In this paper, a numerical analysis was performed to investigate the removal behavior of carbon dioxide using a hollow fiber membrane contactor in which an aqueous potassium carbonate solution flows as an absorbent.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pervaporation of fluoroethanol/water and methacrylic acid/water mixtures through PVA composite membranes

TL;DR: In this article, composite-type PVA pervaporation membranes were prepared using glutaraldehyde on a porous polyethersulfone support and their basic perv-aporation properties were determined for TFEA/water and methacrylic acid/water mixtures.
Journal ArticleDOI

Analysis of permeation rate of cobalt ions across a supported liquid membrane containing HEH(EHP)

TL;DR: In this paper, a mathematical model considering the transfer resistance of the counter ion is developed to analyze the cobalt permeations for the system where cobalt concentration in a feed phase varies over a wide range.

Glycerol Separation from Biodiesel Byproduct

TL;DR: The results of distilled glycerol through the above separation processes were measured and the results were compared according to experimental conditions such as acid concentration and precipitation temperature as discussed by the authors, which indicated that the variations of acid concentration in pretreatment steps affected to some extent glycerols recovery from the biodiesel byproduct.
