Interaction of poly(styrene sulfonate) with polycations carrying charges in the chain backbone
TL;DR: In this paper, the interaction between sodium poly(styrene sulfonate) (NaSS) and side-chain charged polycation polymer (pendent type) or main-chain charge polymer (integral type) has been studied.
Journal ArticleDOI
Formation of polyion complexes between polycarboxylic acids and polycations carrying charges in the chain backbone
TL;DR: The formation of polyion complexes in aqueous medium between polycations carrying charges in the chain backbone and poly(carboxylic acid)s, such as poly(methacrylic acid) (PMAA), poly(Carboxyly acid)(PAA), and polyitaconic acid (PIA), were studied in this article.
Journal ArticleDOI
The rôle of the chain length in the stability of polyion complexes
Eishun Tsuchida,Yoshihito Osada +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the stability of polyanion-polycation complexes as a function of their chain length was studied, and it was found that the stability increased exponentially from 102 to 8.104l mol−1 with increasing chain length of the polycation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effects of macromolecular matrix on the process of radical polymerization of ionizable monomers
Eishun Tsuchida,Yoshihito Osada +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied the polymerization of methacrylic acid (MAA) and acrylic acid (AA) in the presence of a positively charged macromolecular matrix.
Journal ArticleDOI
Complexes between Synthetic Macromolecules
Eishun Tsuchida,Yoshihito Osada +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors discuss the effects of complexation on comlexation in terms of the following:Comlexation: (1)Complexity: (2) Comlexation, (3) Complexity, (4) Compensation:
