Journal ArticleDOI
New Fluorimetric Alkali and Alkaline Earth Metal Cation Sensors Based on Noncyclic Crown Ethers by Means of Intramolecular Excimer Formation of Pyrene
Yoshio Suzuki,Tatsuya Morozumi,Hiroshi Nakamura,Masatsugu Shimomura,Takashi Hayashita,Richard A. Bartsh +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, 2,2,3, and 5 pyrenes at both terminals of polyoxyethylene compounds were synthesized, and their complexation behavior with alkaline earth cations was investigated by fluorescence spectrometry, fluorescence lifetimes, and 1H NMR spectrometric.
Journal ArticleDOI
New Fluorophores Based on Non-Cyclic Crown Ethers for Alkali and Alkaline Earth Metal Cation
Ruriko Tahara,Tatsuya Morozumi,Yoshio Suzuki,Yusuke Kakizawa,Takahiro Akita,Hiroshi Nakamura +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the complexation behavior of non-cyclic crown ethers with alkali and alkaline earth cations and interactions between their terminal groups is discussed in detail.
Journal ArticleDOI
Microstructure and analysis of oxide scales formed on Cr–Si–Ni compacts in air and H2O-containing atmosphere
Akira Yamauchi,Yoshio Suzuki,Norihito Sakaguchi,Seiichi Watanabe,Shigeji Taniguchi,Kazuya Kurokawa +5 more
TL;DR: In this article, the oxide scales formed on various CrSi2-Ni compacts at 1273 K in air and H2O-containing atmosphere were characterized by TEM.
Journal ArticleDOI
Basicity of Alkaline Earth Silicate Melts Based on the Cr6+/Cr3+ Redox Equilibria
TL;DR: Differential pulse voltammetry of Cr 6+ /Cr 3+ in alkali silicates was extended to silicate melts containing alkalin earth oxides in this article, where the basicity scale of new systems finds more relevant applications to practical slags.
