Synthesis and Characterization of an Amorphous Perfluoropolymer: Poly(perfluoro-2-methylene-4-methyl-1,3-dioxolane)

TL;DR: A perfluorinated monomer, perfluoro-2-methylene-4-methyl-1,3-dioxolane (PFMMD), was synthesized by various methods.
Journal ArticleDOI

Copolymers of methyl methacrylate and fluoroalkyl methacrylates: Effects of fluoroalkyl groups on the thermal and optical properties of the copolymers

TL;DR: In this article, the glass transition temperatures of the copolymers were found to deviate positively from the Gordon-Taylor equation by the dipole-dipole intrachain interaction between the methyl ester group and the fluoroalkyl ester groups of the monomer units.
Journal ArticleDOI

The preparation and characterization of organically modified silicates that exhibit nonlinear optical properties

TL;DR: In this paper, an organically modified silane sol-gel was prepared by the hydrolysis and condensation of N-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl)-4'nitroaniline and trimethoxylsilane in N,N-dimethylacetamide using a non-ionic organic base catalyst.
