Journal ArticleDOI

Diversity of endophytic bacteria in ginseng and their potential for plant growth promotion.

TL;DR: Although a mixed composition of endophyte communities was recovered from ginseng based on the results of 16S rDNA analysis, bacteria of the genus Bacillus and Staphylococcus dominated in 1- year-old and 4-year-old plants, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of alkaline protease-producing Exiguobacterium sp. YS1 inoculation on the solubilization and bacterial community of waste activated sludge

TL;DR: Bioaugmentation of the organism might be useful for enhancing the solubilization of WAS at mild alkaline pH, indicating a synergistic effect could be achieved when both bacterial inoculation and alkaline treatment were combined.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antimicrobial activity of cellulose-based nanofibers with different Ag phases

TL;DR: Cellulose acetate nanofibers containing Ag ions, CA (as-spun), were fabricated by electrospinning with 0.5 or 1 wt% of silver nitrate (AgNO 3) and exhibited strong antimicrobial activity against S. aureus and Gram-negative Escherichia coli.
Journal ArticleDOI

Analysis of Bacterial Community in the Ginseng Soil Using Denaturing Gradient Gel Electrophoresis (DGGE)

TL;DR: Differences in the dominance of intense DNA bands in the DGGE profile was observed over the age of the plants indicating the fluctuation in the microbial community structure.
