Cloud storage, an economically attractive service offered by cloud service providers (CSPs), has attracted a large number of tenants. However, because the ownership and management of outsourced data are separated, outsourced data faces a lot of security challenges, for instance, data security, data integrity, data update, and so on. In this article, we primarily investigate the problem of efficient data integrity auditing supporting provable data update in cloud computing environment. Subsequently, on the basis of the Merkel sum hash tree (MSHT), we introduce an efficient outsourced data integrity auditing scheme. Our designed scheme could synchronously meet the requirements of provable data update and data confidentiality without dependency on a third authority. At the same time, the numerical analysis shows that the computing complexity logarithmically grows with the number of outsourced subfiles. Finally, a prototype implementation is developed to simulate our designed scheme and measure its performance. The consequences of experiments present that compared with some previous solutions, our designed scheme has much more attractive practicality and higher efficiency in practical applications.

Efficient Data Integrity Auditing Supporting Provable Data Update for Secure Cloud Storage

Cloud computing does an efficient program to offer and manage the resources owed to statistics and communication approaches for remote users. It exploits features of virtualization approaches over a number of shared resources like services, computing power, storage, etc. Huge attention towards cloud computing has drawn in both individual users and business organizations as it can effectively offer services in the way of public requirements including water and electricity. Cloud storage has the ability to effectively manage their remote data but, it faces the risk of being tampered with. Thus, this paper reviews several blockchain techniques to develop public auditing schemes for confirming data integrity in cloud storage. The major scope of this survey is to focus on existing auditing techniques and simulation tools in different contributions. Further, the performance analysis with different performance metrics from diverse contributions is pointed out. Thus, this review article presents a detailed overview of the various security properties that have been exploited in the cloud with the aim of enhancing the block chain-based public auditing schemes. Corresponding comparative results and computational and communication cost complexities for all these public auditing schemes are presented and discussed in this paper. Further, the open research directions for future investigation are also clearly described. 

A Methodical Literature Survey on Block Chain-based Public Auditing in Cloud: Analysis on Performance and Door towards Future Scope

Increasing numbers of users are outsourcing data to the cloud, but data integrity is an important issue. Due to the decentralization and immutability of blockchain, more and more researchers tend to use blockchain to replace third-party auditors. This paper proposes a data integrity system based on blockchain expansion technology that aims to solve the problem of high cost for blockchain network maintenance and for user creation of new blocks caused by the rapid growth of blocks in the data integrity audit scheme of existing blockchain technology. Users and cloud service providers (CSP) deploy smart contracts on the main chain and sub-chains. Intensive and frequent computing work is transferred to the sub-chain for completion, and the computation results of the sub-chain are submitted to the main chain periodically or when needed to ensure its finality. The concept of non-interactive audit is introduced to avoid affecting user experience due to the communication with the CSP during the audit process. In order to ensure data security, a reward pool mechanism is introduced. Comprehensive analysis from aspects such as storage, batch auditing and data consistency proves the correctness of the scheme. Experiments on the Ethereum blockchain platform demonstrate that this scheme can effectively reduce storage and computational overhead.

Provable data deletion from efficient data integrity auditing and insertion in cloud storage

With the rapid development of information technology, wireless network has been accepted by the public and widely used in the daily life and work. Especially with the comprehensive deployment of 5G network technology, the application scope of wireless network is continuously increasing, which can greatly reduce the IT infrastructure overhead and human resource investment. Although the tremendous advantages, wireless network inevitably suffers from some severe security challenges. For example, the network data is characterized by large volumes, variety and high dimensions, which would greatly affect the efficiency and accuracy of network security situation assessment (NSSA). To solve this problem, we first design a novel model based on parsimonious memory unit (PMU), namely, bidirectional parsimonious memory unit (BIPMU). Compared with PMU, BIPMU can not only learn and characterize data through its time series relationship, but also comprehensively and effectively manage the potential connection of long-term and short-term dependence on time series data. Subsequently, we adopt BIPMU to design a novel NSSA method to evaluate the real-time security situation of wireless network. Finally, we develop a prototype implementation of our proposed NSSA method and provide the performance evaluation. The experimental results demonstrate that compared with the previous NSSA methods, our proposed NSSA method is much more attractive in efficiency and accuracy. • We improve Parsimonious memory unit (PMU) and design a new RNN method called BIPMU. • We utilize BIPMU to design a new NSSA method for wireless network environment. • We provide theoretical analysis and experiments of the BIPMU-based NSSA method. 

A BIPMU-based network security situation assessment method for wireless network

Due to the promising market prospects, more and more enterprises invest cloud storage and offer on-demand data storage services, which are characterized by distinct quality; thus, users would dynamically change the cloud service providers and transfer their outsourced data. However, the original cloud server might not honestly transfer the outsourced data for saving overhead, and the outsourced data might be polluted during the transfer process. Therefore, how to achieve secure outsourced data transfer has become a primary concern of users. To solve this issue, we put forward a solution for the issue of provable cloud data transfer, which can also simultaneously realize efficient data integrity auditing. By taking the advantages of Merkle sum hash tree (MSHT), our presented scheme can satisfy verifiability without dependency on a third party auditor (TPA). Meanwhile, the formal security proof can demonstrate that our presented scheme meets all of the expected security requirements. Finally, we implement our presented scheme and offer the precise performance evaluation, which can intuitively show the high-efficiency and practicality of our presented scheme in the real-world applications.
