PURPOSE:To produce the titled substance useful as an antiseptic, disinfectant, cosmetic, etc., especially p-thymol having strong sterilizing activity at high ratio, economically, by using a solid phosphoric acid catalyst in the heating of vic- thymol or a composition containing the same. CONSTITUTION:The titled compound is produced by reacting vic-thymol or a composition containing vic-thymol at 100-400 deg.C, preferably 200-300 deg.C in the presence of a solid phosphoric acid catalyst. The composition containing vic- thymol may be a reaction product composed mainly of p-thymol and o-thymol and obtained by the reaction of m-cresol with propylene in the presence of a catalyst, and a solid phosphoric acid catalyst used in the reaction of m-cresol and propylene can be used as it is in the above reaction of vic-thymol. The ratio of the production of o-thymol and p-thymol can be lowered to <=3/1, and the production ratio of p-thymol can be increased remarkably compared with conventional methods.

The duct component 4 has a half-shell shape consisting of erected walls 5, 5 and a single-side wall. A flange part 7 to be adhered to the inner wall surface of the vehicle component 2 is formed on a terminal of the erected wall 5 along the longitudinal direction. The duct component 4 is formed of a thermoplastic resin in a foam state by setting the apparent density of the flange part 7 to be higher than that of the erected wall 5 and the single-side wall 6. On detecting circuit 4 stopping operation, trigger signal generating circuit 5 triggers monostable multivibrator 6 with a trigger signal and monostable multivibrator 6 generates a forecast gate signal of longer pulse width than input pulse width. This gate signal and mixed pulse signal are fed to AND gate 8 to separate only a system pulse train with period T. Circuits U0 are connected in parallel as many as mixed pulse systems in the input signal and forecast gate signals of other systems from terminal 7 are input to terminals 2 and 3, so that inputting pulse train signals of other systems will be inhibited.
