FIELD: restoration of parts.SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the restoration and strengthening of parts by electric contact welding of steel belts. Before welding, the part is perforated from the side facing the filler tape by drilling rows of blind conical holes at an angle corresponding to the angle of the tape run-in with the electrode roller. The depth of the holes is equal to the difference between the thickness of the tape and the defective metal coating layer removed during subsequent machining. The pitch of the holes is taken to be equal to the feed of the roller-electrode along the axis of the shaft. The mode of electric contact welding is selected from the condition of complete filling of the volume of blind holes with filler metal. Welding of the additive is carried out on the jumpers between the rows of holes. Measuring hopper comprises hopper for powder with bottom discharge funnel and drive mounted outside of it, kinematically connected with vertical rod located inside powder hopper connected with powder shutoff valve. On powder hopper axis binding substance container is arranged, made in form of vertical cylinder, which lower end is made in form of truncated cone, which is powder shutoff valve in mentioned bottom discharge funnel, and upper end is provided with cover. Rod is installed on binding substance container axis. Rod upper end is connected with drive via hole in container cover, and its lower end is binding substance shutoff valve in hole in vertex of said truncated cone. Measuring hopper to supply powder and binder into welding zone

The rolled seam to join plates together, by resistance welding in a butt joint, is prepared by inserting a metallic powder (7) into the joint zone (a) as an added material. The powder covers the joint and has a chemical composition and grain size compatible with the welding conditions. During welding, the resistance heat generated by the electrodes (4,5) melts the powder to fill the joint (a) completely, and give a bond between the two plates (1,2). ADVANTAGE - The operation gives a total bond between the two plates and the material in the joint between them, so that welding faults are prevented to avoid later failure.
