Abstract: The invention relates to a phased array ultrasonic imaging detection method for a large-diameter and thick-wall alloy steel weld with a stainless steel surfacing layer, and belongs to the technical fields of ultrasonic non-destructive detection and evaluation. The phased array ultrasonic imaging detection method adopts an ultrasonic testing system, and the ultrasonic testing system comprises a phased array ultrasonic detector, a phased array ultrasonic probe and a mating wedge block, a computer, a scanner and a calibration specimen, wherein the computer is integrated with a phased array operation system. For the large-diameter and thick-wall alloy steel weld with the stainless steel surfacing layer with wall thickness more than 70mm, the phased array ultrasonic probe and the wedge block are selected to detect the alloy steel weld and the surfacing area by combining focusing parameters and ultrasonic parameters, and the defect is quantified and positioned. The method has the advantages that the detected area can be wholly covered; the defects of no sensitivity to area defects of cracks, incomplete fusion and the like and failure to quantify the defect depth in the ray detection process, and low detection sensitivity, low detection efficiency and the like in the conventional ultrasonic detection technique are overcome; the economic benefit and social benefit are higher.
