Many multi-axle applications use electro-hydraulic control systems with proportional valves. The proportional steering system can satisfy common engineering requirements, but it is likely to fail if the steering angle or load changes drastically because of poor dynamic characteristics, including dead zones, hysteresis, and frequency response. An electro-hydraulic servo steering system with servo solenoid valve is proposed to guarantee a precise dynamic response and good price–performance ratio of the closed-loop system. A co-simulation model based on ADAMS and AMESim was established to analyze the influence of the main parameters on steering performance. The mechanical model includes tire and ground parts, and the steering load can be simulated accurately. Modeling, simulation, and experimental validation of electro-hydraulic power steering system in multi-axle vehicles

Based on a modified pseudo-rigid-body model, the frequency characteristics and sensitivity of the large-deformation compliant mechanism are studied. Firstly, the pseudo-rigid-body model under the static and kinetic conditions is modified to enable the modified pseudo-rigid-body model to be more suitable for the dynamic analysis of the compliant mechanism. Subsequently, based on the modified pseudo-rigid-body model, the dynamic equations of the ordinary compliant four-bar mechanism are established using the analytical mechanics. Finally, in combination with the finite element analysis software ANSYS, the frequency characteristics and sensitivity of the compliant mechanism are analyzed by taking the compliant parallel-guiding mechanism and the compliant bistable mechanism as examples. From the simulation results, the dynamic characteristics of compliant mechanism are relatively sensitive to the structure size, section parameter, and characteristic parameter of material on mechanisms. The results could provide great theoretical significance and application values for the structural optimization of compliant mechanisms, the improvement of their dynamic properties and the expansion of their application range.

The multi-vehicle combined transportation of large-scale equipment or goods is studied, and various combined transportation modes are obtained. The research on four-vehicle combined transportation is studied, the four transport vehicles must ensure synchronization in the process of running, and the steering must be coordinated, otherwise major accidents may occur. Aiming at the stability control of multi-vehicle running synchronization, the system transfer function of pump-controlled motor in driving system is established, and the PID control is added. The simulation results show that adding the PID control algorithm can improve the speed stability of the transport vehicle. And the geometric model of the steering mechanism is established, the functional relationship between the steering angle and the stroke of the steering cylinder is obtained, and the relationship between the electric signal of proportional valve and the steering angle is deduced. On this basis, the coordinated control system of four-vehicle running synchronization and steering coordination based on CAN (controller area network) bus is designed. The master-slave synchronization control strategy and the PID control are applied to the four-vehicle combined transportation. According to the data collected from the test, it is proved that the control strategy fully meets the transportation requirements, and can provide theoretical basis and design method reference for the safe and reliable combined transportation of various types of transport vehicles.

Aimed at the key part for TLC900 transporting girder vehicle applied in constructing high-speed railroads,the operational principle of steering system is explained and the mathematical model of steering control is set up.Based on the steering theory and requirement of steering capability for transporting girder vehicle,the control policy of subsection PID is adopted.In this foundation,the Simulink software package of Matlab is utilized to simulate the dynamic characteristics of the system.Comparison and analysis of the test data and the simu- lation result to prove the feasibility of the method,which bene- fits to improve the control capability of steering system of the transporting girder vehicle more.
