Evaluation Model of Design for Operation and Architecture of Hierarchical Virtual Simulation for Flight Vehicle Design

Design, research and development of Cooperative Vehicle Infrastructure System (CVIS) involve several of factors and multi-level complex relationship. To reduce consume of manpower, material and financial resources, and avoid serious consequences happening during service stage, it is necessary to build a reliable, efficient and realistic virtual CVIS platform. This paper defines visual simulation as a federate of CVIS, to establish an interactive visual simulation platform. This paper uses MultiGen Paradigm's visual simulation software to establish a model library and drive models. Further, some models are simplified by levels of detail (LOD) technique. Functional models of vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-infrastructure information interaction have been made. In the aspect of single car simulation, a 5DT data glove and an inertial sensor are used to design an interactive auxiliary driving platform. In the aspect of simulation platform optimization, a method of dynamic loading model mechanism has been proposed to save space and time. To make vehicles move smoothly during simulation, a dynamic interpolation method has been used to fit and interpolate vehicle's trajectory. This paper establishes an interactive visual simulation platform based on CVIS. This platform has the ability to verify the property and function of CVIS. On this platform numbers of data information are transformed into visual graphic information, which enhances efficiency and interaction of the simulation to CVIS and accelerates the speed to develop real CVIS.

Research of interactive visual simulation method based on Cooperative Vehicle Infrastructure System

Virtual battle environment is an important visible platform for military simulation. Based on the implementation of a specific military project, the system components were described. The key techniques of virtual battlefield environment creation applying VR were analyzed and discussed, including a fast algorithm for 3D-modeling based on complexity, the techniques of 3Dterrain generation and predigestion, and human-computer interaction etc. The feasibility and utility of the methods presented in this paper have been demonstrated satisfactorily by two large-scale net-war-simulations.
