Journal ArticleDOI

Sigmoid sinus cortical plate dehiscence induces pulsatile tinnitus through amplifying sigmoid sinus venous sound.

TL;DR: It was concluded that SSCPD would directly induce PT through significantly amplifying sigmoid sinus (SS) venous sound, and thin CP would not be the only pathophysiology of PT.
Journal ArticleDOI

An in vitro experimental study on the relationship between pulsatile tinnitus and the dehiscence/thinness of sigmoid sinus cortical plate.

TL;DR: In this study, it was concluded that the pulsatile venous sound is produced at TS-SS junction in case of CP dehiscence, and the CP, even a thinned one, can effectively diminish the venoussound and sound-generating pulsatile vibration at TS -SS junction.
Journal ArticleDOI

A study on relationship between pulsatile tinnitus and temporal bone pneumatization grade.

TL;DR: This study aims to quantify the relationship between the venous sound amplification and the pneumatization grade of TBAC, and indicates that the SS standard is effective for the clinical evaluation of venoussound amplification.
Book ChapterDOI

The Relationship of Coloboma of Cortical Plate attaching Sigmoid Sinus and Vascular Pulsatile Tinnitus: A Numerical Study

TL;DR: The evaluation result provided a mechanical conclusion that coloboma of cortical plate attaching sigmoid sinus would remarkably amplify the noise generated in sigmoids sinus, therefore directly leading to audible perception, and positively supported the cortical plate reconstruction surgery to cure vascular pulsatile tinnitus.
