Journal ArticleDOI

Differentiation of flue-cured tobacco leaves in different positions based on neutral volatiles with principal component analysis (PCA)

TL;DR: In this paper, a continuous flow analysis method was used to determine the quantity of the basic chemical compounds (sugars, total nitrogen and nicotine) of 30 samples and the neutral volatiles of tobaccos were analyzed by GC-MS.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of various factors on formation of 2,3-dihydro-3,5-dihydroxy-6-methyl-4( H )-pyran-4-one (DDMP) in a solid-state model system of Maillard reaction

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the influence of various factors on the formation of 2,3-dihydro-3,5-Dihydroxy-6-methyl-4(H)-pyran-4-one (DDMP) in a solid-state Maillard reaction system.
Journal ArticleDOI

Study on the effect of potassium lactate additive on the combustion behavior and mainstream smoke of cigarettes

TL;DR: The influence of potassium lactate (PL) on the combustion behavior and semi-volatile compounds of tobacco during smoking is investigated in this paper, which shows that the addition of PL showed no effect on the content of total particulate matter, nicotine-free dry particulate amount, puff number, and nicotine.
Journal ArticleDOI

The influence of exogenous fiber on the generation of carbonyl compounds in reconstituted tobacco sheet

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of exogenous fibers of hemp pulp (HP) and softwood pulp (SP) on the generation of carbonyl compounds (i.e., formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, acrolein, propanal, butenal, 2-butanone and butyraldehyde) was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

The generation of carbon monoxide and carbonyl compounds in reconstituted tobacco sheet

TL;DR: In this paper, the yields of CO and carbonyl compounds in cigarette mainstream smoke of self-made reconstituted tobacco sheet (SRTs) and their formation mechanisms were investigated.
