TL;DR: In this paper, a coupled fixed point theorem for nonlinear contractions in partially ordered metric spaces was proved. And the results on coupled fixed points and coupled coincidence points were derived for normed spaces.
Abstract: We prove a coupled best approximations theorem in normed spaces. Also, we derive the results on coupled coincidence points and coupled fixed points, which were introduced by Lakshmikantham and Ciric [V. Lakshmikantham, LJ. Ciric, Coupled fixed point theorems for nonlinear contractions in partially ordered metric spaces, Nonlinear Anal. TMA, 70 (2009) 4341–4349].

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: It is proved the existence of a solution to the generalized vector equilibrium problem with bounds, and several known theorems from the literature can be considered as particular cases of these results.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors apply the KKM technique to study generalized vector implicit variational inequality problem and obtain a version of best approximations theorem in cone metric spaces, which generalizes the works of Huang and Li [8], Li and Huang [11], and represent variant of result of Lee and Farajzadeh [10].
Abstract: We apply the KKM technique to study generalized vector implicit variational inequality problem. Our results generalize the works of Huang and Li [8], Li and Huang [11], and represent variant of result of Lee and Farajzadeh [10]. We also obtain a version of best approximations theorem in cone metric spaces.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proved an existence result on best proximity pair for the class of factorizable multifunctions in approximately weakly compact, convex subset of metrizable topological vector space.
Abstract: The object of this paper is to prove an existence result on best proximity pair. For this purpose, the class of factorizable multifunctions in approximately weakly compact, convex subset of metrizable topological vector space is used. As consequence, our theorem generalizes the result of Basha and Veeramani[10]. Finally, certain known results have also been obtained as corollaries in this work.
