TL;DR: In this paper, air temperature measurements were taken at 1, 60 and 160 cIml.m. at intervals of 22.5 secs, with an average temperature of 85 C to 840C.
Abstract: Air aindl soil temperatures were imieastured dturinig dry season iheading fires in tlhi-ee diff'erenlt phvsiognomnic formils of native vegetation comi-moni in Central Brazil: cerrado seoisoI strito (denlse scirtu of shrubs andct trees), cam.ipo cerr-ado (openi scrub), and camllpo stujo (openl grassland with scattered shrubs). The vegetation was protected from fire for 15 v in somiie areas, had been burned onice everv two years, andcl once each year in othel areas. The temperatures wvere imieastured with type-k therilmocotuples anid recorded at intervals of 22.5 secs. Air- tenperature measurements wsere takeni at 1, 60 and 160 cIml. Mlaximuitmill air temperatures ranigect fiomii 85 C to 840C, anid the cdtur-ation above W0?C varied fi-om 20 to 270 seconids. In the soil, negligible temperature increases were r-ecor-ded below 5 cmil depth, whereas at 2 cmll im.aximuitmill soil temiperattures ai-iecl fromii 29 to 38TC. Possil)le inifluenices of fuel load an-d miioistture oni the recorded data and oln the behaviour of fire in the cerraclo ecosystems are disctussecd.

TL;DR: A floristic survey of the shrub and tree species occurring in a semideciduous montane forest was carried out in the foothills of the Serra de Sao Jose, municipality of Tiradentes, state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, presenting a list of 277 species belonging to 67 plant families.
Abstract: A floristic survey of the shrub and tree species (diameter at the base of the stem >= 5 cm) occurring in a semideciduous montane forest was carried out in the foothills of the Serra de Sao Jose, municipality of Tiradentes, state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. The survey included all species found in 95 quadrats of 10 x 10 m as well as those collected outside the sample area. A list of 277 species belonging to 67 plant families is presented. The present checklist is compared quantitavely to other floristic surveys carried out in the states of Minas Gerais and Sao Paulo.
