TL;DR: In this paper, a non-linear effect occurs in electroosmosis of methanol through strong ion-exchange membranes, e.g. Zeokarb 225 (Na+ form) and Dowex 1 (Cl- form), and the results show that a significant change in the orientation of adsorbed dipoles when higher electric fields are applied.

TL;DR: Frictional coefficients between membrane matrix and permeants have been evaluated from electroosmotic measurements and the Onsager's reciprocity relation has been tested.
Abstract: Frictional coefficients between membrane matrix and permeants have been evaluated from electroosmotic measurements. Pyrex sinter has been used as the membrane and, acetone, methanol and methyl ketone as permeants. The Onsager's reciprocity relation has been tested.

TL;DR: Several N1-aryl-N4(O, O-diethylthiophosphoryl) sulphanilamides and N1aiyl-n4-(N, N-diarylthIophosphoramidic) compounds have been prepared with a view to study their pesticidal properties as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: Several N1-aryl-N4(O, O-diethylthiophosphoryl) sulphanilamides and N1-aiyl-N4-(N, N-diarylthiophosphoramidic) sulphanilamides have been prepared with a view to study their pesticidal properties. Six such compounds have been tested against two species of fungi.

TL;DR: In this paper, the 1 : 2 and 1 : 1 metal: ligand ratios have been established for copper and silver benzylidene picramates respectively with the help of microanalysis and have been confirmed by spectrophotometric, potentiometric and conductometric measurements.
Abstract: Benzylidene picramates of copper and silver have been prepared by treating the corresponding aqueous acetate and nitrate solutions with the sodium salt of 4′dimethylamino-benzylidene-2-hydroxy-3,5-dinitroaniline. 1 : 2 and 1 : 1 Metal: ligand ratios have been established for copper and silver benzylidene picramates respectively with the help of microanalysis and have been confirmed by spectrophotometric, potentiometric and conductometric measurements. The i.r. studies of the metal benzylidene picramates show N → M coordination, M = Cu or Ag. Explosive properties of these benzylidene picramates have also been studied and it was found that the thermal stability increases as the atomic radius of the metal decreases.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied the degradation of lithium polyphosphate catalyzed by ethanol and showed that the energies of activation obtained for ethanol-catalyzed reactions were comparable to those obtained for acid catalyzed reactions, and the mechanism of nucleophilic attack was also expected to be the same.
Abstract: Hydrolytic degradation of lithium polyphosphate catalyzed by ethanol was studied. Two samples with endgroup molecular weights of 4300 and 5500 were used. They were dissolved in 0.1 M NaBf and 30% (v/v) ethanol was used as the catalyst. The hydrolytic degradation of the samples catalyzed by 0.1 M hydrochloric acid was also studied. Kinetic results show that the energies of activation obtained for ethanol-catalyzed reactions were comparable to those obtained for acid-catalyzed reactions. The results are similar to those obtained earlier for water-soluble long-chain sodium polyphosphates and the mechanism of nucleophilic attack is also expected to be the same.

TL;DR: Ferrous, cobalt and nickel benzylidene picramates have been prepared by treating the corresponding aqueous sulphate and chloride solutions with sodium salt of 4′-dimethyIaminobenzylidenes-2-hydroxy-3.5-dinitroaniline as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: Ferrous, cobalt and nickel benzylidene picramates have been prepared by treating the corresponding aqueous sulphate and chloride solutions with sodium salt of 4′-dimethyIaminobenzylidene-2-hydroxy- 3.5-dinitroaniline. A metal: ligand ratio of 1:2 has been established in all these cases with the help of micro-analysis and confirmed by spectrophotometric, colorimetric and magnetic susceptibility measurements. I.R. studies of metal benzylidene picramates show N + M coordination, where M is iron, cobalt or nickel. Explosive properties of these benzylidene picramates have also been studied and it was found that the thermal stability of these benzylidene picramates increases as the atomic radius of the metal decreases. Ferrous, cobalt and nickel benzylidene picramates increased as the atomic radius of the metal decreases.

TL;DR: In this article, a theoretical study of Gliddon's simplified model is performed to establish the feasibility of the protonospheric mechanism of heat conduction, and an exact and modified solution to the non-linear heat equation for the Protonosphere i.e. static plasma is obtained, the variation of temperature is discussed and it is found to agree with the experimental results.
Abstract: This work is a theoretical study ofGliddon’s simplified model [7] to establish the feasibility of protonospheric mechanism of heat conduction.Gliddon’s approach has been critically examined and an exact and modified solution to the non-linear heat equation for the protonosphere i.e. static plasma is obtained, the variation of temperature is discussed and it is found to agree with the experimental results. Downward flux of energy has also been calculated.
