TL;DR: In this paper, an improved method for obtaining a datum concerning the rotation speed (n) of a rotating object, such as a motor rotor, offers high precision, in order to keep the computation load on the microprocessor from increasing as the rotor speed increases, yet maintain high precision.
Abstract: An improved method, for obtaining a datum concerning the rotation speed (n) of a rotating object, such as a motor rotor ( 32 ), offers high precision. Typically, the motor has a sensor ( 61 ) which supplies a sensor signal that has, for each revolution of the rotor, a plurality A of events such as pulses or pulse edges which are counted by a microprocessor ( 23 ) associated with the motor. In order to keep the computation load on the microprocessor from increasing as the rotor speed increases, yet maintain high precision, the measurement is done over a full rotation of the rotor, starts at a first signal event ( 176 ), and ends after a third or nth signal event ( 182 ) which happens at the same rotational position as the first signal event.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a method for configuring an alarm signal in a motor by means of an input interface, a parameter storage, and the execution of at least one routine of the alarm device provided in the microprocessor.
Abstract: When a motor is defective, e.g. stops running, runs too slow or overheats, many clients demand that an alarm signal be generated, that is, an alarm device included in the motor. In order to configure said alarm signal, the following method is used: at least one parameter for the configuration of the alarm device of the motor is inputted by means of an input interface (80, 82); the at least one parameter is stored in a parameter storage (74; 109); the execution of at least one routine of the alarm device provided in the microprocessor (23) is influenced by said stored parameter or by parameters derived therefrom. The invention also relates to a motor for implementing said method. Said motor makes it possible to easily configure the alarm device according to the actual requirements of a client.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed an active filter for supplying a user (12) that consumes power in a non-continuous manner from a d.c. system (UB).
Abstract: The invention relates to an arrangement for supplying a user (12) that consumes power in a non-continuous manner from a d.c. system (UB). The arrangement comprises a d.c. link (14, 22). The user (12) can be connected to said link. A capacitor (21) that is suitable for supplying the user with energy for a short time is allocated to said link. The aim of the invention is to connect the d.c. link (14, 22) to the d.c. system (UB). A current controller (24, 30) is provided for supplying an essentially constant current (i) to the capacitor (21) and a user (12) being connected to said link. The desired value of said current controller (30) is adapted to the relevant current demand of the user (12) by means of a second controller (34). Such an arrangement can be called an active filter which is particularly suitable for electronically commutated motors and motors with PWM current control. The arrangement comprises an electronic security device (240) that, when being actuated, switches off the current controller (30), automatically switches the current controller (30) back on after a pre-determined period has elapsed and optionally repeats the switching-on attempts several times.

Abstract: The stator has a stator plate packet with a stator yoke with an inner opening (5) for a rotor, and inwardly protruding pole teeth for stator windings. The pole teeth feet are force and shape-connected to the stator yoke. The rotor opening in the stator yoke has stamped grooves (4) and joint grooves distributed at its periphery corresponding to the number of pole teeth. The shape of the pole teeth feet is formed by stamping out the stamped grooves, and the feet are fixed into the joint grooves by force and shape-locking.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors propose a method for operating an electric motor to which a microprocessor or microcontroller and a non-volatile memory (74) are assigned, whereby, during the occurrence of a fault, at least one operation data value of the motor is automatically stored in the NVRAM in a program-controlled manner.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for operating an electric motor (32) to which a microprocessor or microcontroller (23) and a non-volatile memory (74) are assigned, whereby, during the occurrence of a fault, at least one operation data value of the motor is automatically stored in the non-volatile memory (74) in a program-controlled manner. The invention also relates to an electric motor for carrying out such a method. The invention serves to increase the operational reliability of a motor since the stored data can be queried occasionally or after the occurrence of a fault. In addition, the invention demonstrates how such faults are processed.

Abstract: The self protection unit (1) has a sensor unit (2) for determining the temperature in the motor and the surrounding region. There is a regulating unit (4) connected with the sensor unit (2) and the control. The regulating unit (4) respectively compares at least one sensor signal as a temperature actual value (i1, i2, i3, i4) with a specified associated limit value (G1, G2, G3, G4).If the temperature exceeds the predetermined value, the supply to the motor winding is controlled. By alteration of the electric power or the motor speed, the temperature is regulated.

TL;DR: In this paper, an operating method is carried out using a microcontroller (23) or a microprocessor and a non-transient memory (74) for controlling the electric motor.
Abstract: The operating method is carried out using a microcontroller (23) or a microprocessor and a non-transient memory (74) for controlling the electric motor (32). With the occurrence of a fault, at least one operating data value, such as the rotation speed of the electric motor, is automatically stored in the non-transient memory. Routinely important operating parameters can be monitored from time to time and the measured values are then processed and compared with stored values. Independent claims are included for an electric motor device.

TL;DR: In this article, a commutation arrangement comprises a bistable multivibrator whose switch condition is controlled through voltages which are induced from the rotor into a currently deactivated winding cord.
Abstract: The motor (4) comprises a stator with two winding cords (25, 26) which are supplied over respective semiconductor switch (56, 62) with current, and a permanent-magnetic rotor (28) which starts moving in a desired rotation direction at activation of a predetermined winding cord. A commutation arrangement comprises a bistable multivibrator (64), whose switch condition is controlled through voltages which are induced from the rotor into a currently deactivated winding cord. The bistable multivibrator has a reset condition (92) which it assumes when the motor is switched on, so that a power supply of a predetermined winding cord is caused at activation.
