Abstract: In designing the layout of large underground chambers in rock, it is of fundamental importance to know in detail the hydrogeological characteristics of the bedrock. In this work, we try to illustrate the variations of and the reasons for the hydraulic conductvity on the basis of water-loss measurements made in five geographically and geologically distinct areas. The result show that the hydraulic conductivity values of four of the five areas are grouped fairly well around 10 -6 m/s.

TL;DR: A pattern of mainly NW-striking tectonic zones is described in the western part of the Northeastern European Platform in this article, where the authors show that it is possible to construct a subduction map of the entire platform.
