TL;DR: In this paper, a system consisting of two or more item storage bins, each item storage bin comprising: a wireless communication tag emitting a wireless signal having data identifying the item storage container on which the tag is positioned, and an indicator activated by receiving a feedback signal identifying the storage container.
Abstract: A system comprises two or more item storage bins, each item storage bin comprising: a wireless communication tag emitting a wireless signal having data identifying the item storage bin on which the wireless communication tag is positioned, and an indicator activated by receiving a feedback signal identifying the item storage bin on which the indicator is positioned; and a personal device comprising: a wireless communicator configured to communicate with the wireless communication tags, and a controller coupled to the wireless communicator and configured to identify one of the item storage bins from the wireless signal, and in response to identifying the one item storage bin, sending the feedback signal through the wireless communicator to the indicator.

TL;DR: In this paper, a software application for a smart phone that simplifies the process of detecting problems with and servicing a malfunctioning barcode printer is presented, where illustrated, audible, and/or written instructions prompt the user to obtain photographs, video recordings and audio samples of the malfunctioning printer.
Abstract: A guided barcode printer diagnostic and servicing system and method includes a software application for a smart phone that simplifies the process of detecting problems with and servicing a malfunctioning barcode printer. Illustrated, audible, and/or written instructions prompt the user to obtain photographs, video recordings, and/or audio samples of the malfunctioning printer. Data processing algorithms extract diagnostic data from the photographs, video recordings, and/or audio samples. The diagnostic data is compared to known printer problem data stored in a database. If a potential problem is identified, a likely repair solution is presented with easy-to-follow servicing instructions. If a potential problem is not identified, additional troubleshooting steps are performed by the user, if needed, until the barcode printer is fixed or it is determined that a skilled service technician is needed.

TL;DR: In this article, the roll-in door has left and right edges, the door being captivated by a pair of door tracks at each of the left or right edges of the media compartment.
Abstract: A printer housing has a media compartment covered by a roll-in door. A pair of door tracks is attached to the printer housing along left and right edges of the media compartment. The roll-in door has left and right edges, the door being captivated by the pair of door tracks at each of the left and right edges. The roll-in door being movable from a fully closed position that renders the media compartment substantially fully covered to a fully open position in which the media compartment can be accessed. In the fully open position, at least a portion of the roll-in door is contained within the printer housing.

TL;DR: In this article, a wireless thermal printhead can run without using a power or a data cable, and benefits include shrinking the printer size, increasing durability of the printer and making it easier to change a thermal print head.
Abstract: Thermal printheads need a power and/or a data cable to deliver energy to the thermal printhead to print. With a wireless thermal printhead, however, a printer can run without using a power or a data cable. By removing the cable, benefits include shrinking the printer size, increasing durability of the printer and making it easier to change a thermal printhead.
