TL;DR: In this article, the Ardara pluton has been studied from a structural point of view and the effect of the intrusion mechanism of post-tectonic plutons has been examined.
Abstract: Concentric zoning is a prominent feature of post-tectonic granitoid plutons and its origin has commonly been ascribed to processes of differentiation and/or contamination. It is the purpose of this contribution, however, to examine what effect the intrusion mechanism of post-tectonic plutons has in the production of such zoning. To this end, the Ardara pluton, which has become one of the classic examples of a zoned post-tectonic pluton (Akaad, 1956), has been studied from a structural point of view.
