TL;DR: In this article, 28 species of coccoliths were identified in surface sediments of the East China Sea and the species composition of the coccolith assemblages is similar to that of the North Pacific Water Mass, but differs from the latter by a greater dominance of Emiliania huxleyi and Gephyrocapsa oceanica.
