TL;DR: In this paper, the client system and the server system are arranged to cooperate to assess risk associated with the transaction, and the client is arranged to send the keys generated by the key engine as a transaction to the server.
Abstract: Transaction scoring is performed in a distributed manner across a client-server computing system. A computing system for processing a transaction includes a server system and a client system. The server system is arranged to process information associated with the transaction, while the client system communicates with the server system and includes a key engine which is arranged to generate keys. The client system and the server system are arranged to cooperate to assess risk associated with the transaction. The client is arranged to send the keys generated by the key engine as a transaction to the server system.

TL;DR: In this article, machine readable information is defined as an optically-readable bar code, characters in a font designed for error-free character recognition by optical or magnetic means, and the information is readable at the consumer end without prior arrangements being made specifically between the consumer and the biller.
Abstract: Data capture which occurs at the consumer end of an electronic bill pay transaction is assisted by machine readable information in a standardized format on an invoice where the machine readable information includes biller identification and a C-B account number and the information is readable at the consumer end without prior arrangements being made specifically between the consumer and the biller. The biller identification is either a universal biller reference number or sufficient information to allow manual identification and contact with the biller. The machine readable information is an optically-readable bar code, characters in a font designed for error-free character recognition by optical or magnetic means.

TL;DR: In this paper, a transaction processing system for facilitating payment for a transaction between the buyer and the seller is described. But the system does not specify the payment terms and conditions between the seller and the buyer.
Abstract: A system for conducting a commercial transaction includes a transaction processing system (10) for facilitating payment for a transaction between the buyer (12) and the seller (14). In addition to the buyer and the seller, the transaction processing system also interacts with an issuer (16) and an acquirer (18). The issuer issues and manages an account for the buyer. An electronic invoice relating to the transaction is first posted to the system by the seller or another system. Upon accepting the electronic invoice, the system creates a payment instruction. Each time a payment instruction is created, the system applies certain pre-negotiated payment terms and conditions between the buyer and the seller to the payment instruction. After the payment instruction is created, the system seeks approval from the buyer. Upon approval of the payment instruction by the buyer, the system schedules the payment for the specified date in the payment instruction. The system calculates one or more fees, for the transaction according to a pre-defined variable pricing matrix, which is determined based on a set of pre-negotiated conditions agreed to by the issuer, the acquirer, the seller and the buyer.
