Elevatable platform for load transfer

Abstract: A materials handling device which comprises an upper load-receiving plate, a lower base plate in planar parallel relationship to said upper plate, said upper plate being of greater dimension than said lower plate and having a depending marginal flange, a pair of first and second lever units interengaging said upper and lower plates, said lever units being in spaced-apart planar parallel relationship and being pivotally interconnected intermediate their lengths. Each lever unit comprises an inner and outer arm adapted at one of their ends for movement linearly with respect to one of said plates. Fluid operated members are associated with each lever unit and are operatively interconnected therewith by means of a cam provided linkage. Said upper plate has mounted thereon a pair of swingable ramps.

Abstract: The signs are positioned on a stand which is with or without a boom and the vertical and horizontal distance of the signs relative to the road surface is alterable. The support or stand and/or the boom consists of individual elements which are telescopically movable and can be swivelled and the elements can be locked in initial and final positions. The stand element is swivel mounted in the support element fixed in the ground and can be adjusted vertically and there is a vertical sign holder which is elastic in the direction of travel.

Ram press with workpiece feeder - has ram actuated drive for feeder with clamping jaws

Abstract: The press is equipped with a feeding arrangement which consists of two closing and opening gripping rails which feed workpieces into the press in step with the ram movements. The feeder is actuated by the movement of the press ram. This eliminates special drives and control systems and the output of the press can be increased. In preferred version the movements to the feeder are transmitted by a mechanical transmission system in which the press ram is provided with a toothed rack which actuates by means of a gear drive and lead screw system the feeder arrangement. A rack is geared to the lead screw adjusting nut and the gear train has replaceable gear wheels for adjusting the movement of the leadscrew. The leadscrew actuates a transverse saddle which is guided in a bed. The transverse support carries a toothed rack which engages with a drive pinion for actuating the gripping rails.
