TL;DR: In this paper , the authors determine the enablers of sustainable knowledge management in higher education institutions and determine sustainable learning as the best criterion for the case of higher education institutors.
Abstract: The amount of information that emerges with the rapidly developing technology is increasing daily, revealing the need for knowledge management. Knowledge management updates the ever-increasing information capacity in organizations, makes the information available, defines the processes necessary to reach the required information, and enables the knowledge needed to be shared. Especially in higher education institutions, sustainable knowledge management is essential for developing a long-term sustainable culture. Therefore, this study aims to determine the enablers of sustainable knowledge management in higher education institutions. As a result, fostering sustainable learning is determined as the best criterion for the case of higher education institutors.

TL;DR: In this paper , a review of eco-technological applications under field-specific titles has progressed in the form of examining academic and sectoral studies in the world, and it has been determined that the need for interdisciplinary improvement in biosystems has become an important issue on international scale, especially in recent years.
Abstract: Problems such as excessive consumption habits, depletion of natural resources and global climate change keep the concepts of both eco-entrepreneurship and bioeconomy on the agenda. Within the scope of the study, agro-food-oriented bioengineering practices, in which biotechnology is at the center, were examined in the circular economy line. In the review, eco-technological applications under field-specific titles have progressed in the form of examining academic and sectoral studies in the world. Hence, it has been determined that the need for interdisciplinary improvement in biosystems has become an important issue on international scale, especially in recent years. In this way, it has been seen that significant contributions will be made in finding solutions to the productivity and efficiency problems that arise in eco-technological bioengineering applications, especially with the contribution of entrepreneurship ecosystem studies. For this reason, it is essential to carry out studies in which all actors involved in agriculture-food-biotechnology systems can come together. Therefore, existing problem areas in bioengineering applications for sustainable development should be identified and joint solution proposals should be developed for the identified problem areas.

TL;DR: In this paper , the outputs of general circulation models (GCM) under various emission scenarios are used to generate two meteorological and hydrological drought indices for a number of meteorological stations scattered in three major basins.
Abstract:
The frequency, intensity and duration of drought events are expected to increase during the coming years. Hence, the resilience against climate changes and water deficit would be of concerns to ensure agro-food and energy safety. To address this issue, the outputs of general circulation models (GCM) under various emission scenarios are used to generate two meteorological and hydrological drought indices for a number of meteorological stations scattered in three major basins namely Buyuk Menderes, Kucuk Menderes, and Gediz located in the western Turkey (the Aegean Region). The biases in the outputs of GCMs were corrected using linear scaling method with respect to the reference period (1990-2020). The results were assessed in two 30-years period as mid-time future (2041-2070) and late future (2071-2100). Afterward, the well-known standard precipitation index (SPI) together with the streamflow drought index (SDI) are determined based on the outputs of the climate scenarios for the allocated time periods. The results of the study showed a significant increase in the number and severity of the drought events by the end of the century under all emission scenarios.

TL;DR: In this article , a spherical-based sensor which measures spherical light source emittance and localizes the light source is presented, which can be used for various solar tracking methods and is applicable for obtaining the position of local light sources such as those placed on mobile or cooperative robots.
Abstract: Tracking of the sun, which increases the efficiency of solar energy production systems, has shown considerable development in recent years. This development has been achieved by custom-positioned light sensors, image cameras, sensorless chronological systems and intelligent controller supported systems or by synergetic use of these systems. This study contributes to this research area with a novel spherical-based sensor which measures spherical light source emittance and localizes the light source. This sensor was built by using miniature light sensors placed on a spherical shaped three-dimensional printed body with data acquisition electronic circuitry. Besides the developed sensor data acquisition embedded software, preprocessing and filtering processes were conducted on these measured data. In the study, the outputs of Moving Average, Savitzky-Golay, and Median filters were used for the localization of the light source. The center of gravity for each filter used was determined as a point, and the location of the light source was determined. The spherical sensor system obtained by this study is applicable for various solar tracking methods. The approach of the study also shows that this measurement system is applicable for obtaining the position of local light sources such as the ones placed on mobile or cooperative robots.

TL;DR: In this paper , the authors analyze the impact of culture on individuals and organizations and understand the influence of culture as a variable in determining the behavior of individuals and effectiveness and efficiency of organizations.
Abstract: Different types of organizations are established to meet the demands and needs of humans around the world. Regardless of their size and the sector in which they participate, each one strives to be effective and efficient. All organizations are managed by human beings which produce goods or render services using human labor. The customers of the organization are humans as well. Therefore, humans naturally have a critical role in the function of organizations. It is important to understand their behavior and the variables that affect their behavior. Since the world has become a single market as a result of globalization and the drastic development in technology, it is crucial to comprehend the effect of culture as a variable in determining the behavior of individuals and effectiveness and efficiency of organizations. The aim of the chapter is to analyze the impact of culture on individuals and organizations.
