TL;DR: It has been shown that the dose of glycogen that prolongs the lag period also inhibits phosphorylase posphatase, wherease AMP and magnesium counteract the inhibition of synthetase phosphatase by phosphoryLase a.

TL;DR: The transepithelial potential difference induced by Amphotericin B in rabbit gall bladder seems to be a diffusion potential of the Na+ salts across the mucosal plasma membrane of the epithelial cells, which can be used as a simple tool for the indirect detection of intracellular ionic concentrations.
Abstract: The transepithelial potential difference induced by Amphotericin B in rabbit gall bladder seems not to be a streaming potential or an active one. It is likely to be a diffusion potential of the Na+ salts across the mucosal plasma membrane of the epithelial cells. Thus it can be used as a simple tool for the indirect detection of intracellular ionic concentrations. On this basis the Na+ salt intracellular concentration results to be lower than the external one and the NaCl-NaHCO3 transepithelial pump must be localized on the basolateral membranes of the epithelial cells.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: In this paper, protein and nucleic acid synthesis in Tissue Fractions of Rat Skin is described. But this work is restricted to rat skin and does not consider other types of skin.
Abstract: (1971). Protein and Nucleic Acid Synthesis in Tissue Fractions of Rat Skin. Archives Internationales de Physiologie et de Biochimie: Vol. 79, No. 2, pp. 255-267.

Journal ArticleDOI
TL;DR: In this article, the permeability of Ethylene Glycol and Glycerol through Lipid Bilayer Membranes and Some Epithelia is discussed. But the authors focus on the use of some epithelias.
Abstract: (1971). Permeabilities of Ethylene Glycol and Glycerol through Lipid Bilayer Membranes and Some Epithelia. Archives Internationales de Physiologie et de Biochimie: Vol. 79, No. 2, pp. 315-318.
