TL;DR: The Minimum Power Consumption Routing (MPCR) protocol is been studied and analysed followed by comparison with the existing power routing protocols such as Minimum Total Transmission Power Routing(MTPR) protocol and Minimum Battery Cost Routed (MBCR) based on Constant Bit Rate (CBR) traffic patterns.
Abstract: Ad-Hoc Network being one of the types of mobility devices that form a temporary mesh network. Routing is one of the techniques in Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) which is mostly adopted due to its dynamic topology nature. In MANETs, the major issues that need to be handled are battery power, bandwidth which are the limited resource. The main issues with mobile ad hoc devices are power consumption. The rate of energy consumption of each mobility device must be equally assigned and transmission power of each path should be minimized for increasing the network life time of each path in the network selection. In the proposed work, the Minimum Power Consumption Routing (MPCR) protocol is been studied and analysed followed by comparison with the existing power routing protocols such as Minimum Total Transmission Power Routing(MTPR) protocol and Minimum Battery Cost Routing (MBCR) based on Constant Bit Rate (CBR) traffic patterns.

TL;DR: In this paper, a continuous flow-through vermireactor was proposed to process an initial feed of 7 500kg of vermicast and produced stable vermicasts with the aid of a breaker bar.
Abstract: — Vermicomposting is increasingly becoming popular as an organic waste management technology whereby earthworms feed on the organic waste to produce vermicasts and vermiwash. Several vermireactors have been used for this process as batch systems. However, there is need to design a continuous flow-through vermireactor which allows the simultaneous addition of the organic waste at the same time harvesting the vermicasts. A 5m X 2m X 1.5m vermireactor was proposed to process an initial feed of 7 500kg. A 10cm thick bedding comprising of office paper, card board paper and Eisenia fetida earthworms stocked at 1kg/m 2 of the vermireactor was used as an initial bedding. The feed bed was 20cm thick and comprised of paper, cow dung, corn pulp and vegetables. The pH, temperature and moisture content in the vermireactor ranged between 5.5-7.5, 19-25°C and 28-52% respectively. 7kg/day of vermicasts were produced given the earthworms produced 75% of their bodyweight as vermicasts per day. The caked vermicasts were expelled by the aid of a breaker bar. The vermireactor was constructed from polyvinyl chloride. Vermicasts containing nitrogen (4.19%), phosphorous (1.15%) and potassium (6.18%) were obtained. The continuous flow-through vermireactor design allowed the production of stable vermicasts and can be used in medium scale vermicomposting.

TL;DR: In this article, an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) was used to predict compaction parameters of soils from its index properties using artificial neural network. But the training operation is performed mainly by multilayer perceptron-back propagation algorithm.
Abstract: This research was conducted for prediction of compaction parameters of soils from its index properties using artificial neural network. The study consists of database of 177 obtained from laboratory measurements. Seven Parameters are mainly considered as input variables to get most accurate results. Plastic limit, Liquid Limit, Plasticity Index, Percentage fines, Percentage sands, Percentage gravels, specific gravity are the input variables and maximum dry density and optimum moisture content were the outputs. The training operation is performed mainly by multilayer perceptron-back propagation algorithm. The network topology was selected after fixing number of hidden neurons. Statistical parameters are used to evaluate the performance of ANN model and also to compare the model with other compaction prediction methods.

TL;DR: The overshoots, rise time and settling time with the proposed techniques are shown to be better than those of the conventionally tuned PID controllers.
Abstract: This paper investigates PID controller tuning using genetic algorithm, modified genetic algorithm and particle swarm optimization techniques. The proposed techniques are compared to PID controllers tuned by the Ziegler-Nichols technique. Closed-loop simulations are conducted using MATLAB and the genetic algorithm toolbox for two applications, a DC-Motor and an Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR). The overshoots, rise time and settling time with the proposed techniques are shown to be better than those of the conventionally tuned PID controllers.

TL;DR: In this article, Ficus carica extract is a mixed type inhibitor of steel in petroleum medium using alcoholic extracted of Ficus Carica leaves with four concentrations of extracted (1, 3, 5, 7 and 7mL/L) at four temperatures over the range 50 - 80 o C Inhibition efficiency.
Abstract: This work involves study the corrosion inhibition of steel in petroleum medium using alcoholic extracted of Ficus carica leaves with four concentrations of extracted (1, 3, 5 and 7mL/L) at four temperatures over the range 50 – 80 o C Inhibition efficiency IE% results show that 3 and 5 mL/L the best concentrations which they gave efficiencies in the range of 71 – 80% Thermodynamic functions of adsorption processes were calculated from experimental polarization data and the interpretation of the results reveals that Ficus carica extract Ficus carica extract obey Langmuir adsorption isotherm Polarization curves indicate that Ficus carica extract is a mixed type inhibitor The small values of the equilibrium constant of the adsorption-desorption process K ads refer to physical adsorption process The values of free energy of adsorption ΔG o ads , enthalpy ΔH o ads and entropy ΔS o ads were negative indicating the spontaneous and exothermic adsorption process as well as Ficus carica extract retained the metal ions and reducing the dissolution of steel and the activated complex in the rate determining step denotes an association rather than a dissociation step
