TL;DR: Two types of bonding exist between acridines and DNA in its native double helical configuration and the first is observed at small ratios of the number of acridine molecules to thenumber of DNA nucleotides.
Abstract: : It is known that two types of bonding exist between acridines and DNA in its native double helical configuration. The first type of bonding is observed at small ratios of the number of acridine molecules to the number of DNA nucleotides (P/D > or = 4, where P - the number of nucleotides, D - the number of acridine molecules), the second is observed at large concentrations of molecules (acridine < or = P/D < or = 3). This report is limited to an examination of a complex of the first type.

TL;DR: Evidence indicates, however, that propyl gallate is a nonspecific inhibitor, and when diphenyl picryl hydrazyl is added to the system ATP-actinomyosin, its concentration is reduced in a manner which suggests the formation of free radicals during ATP hydrolysis.
Abstract: : An investigation of the influence of propyl gallate on the reaction of ATP-ase with myosin and with actomyosin demonstrated that inorganic phosphate evolution declined with increasing propyl gallate concentration. Evidence indicates, however, that propyl gallate is a nonspecific inhibitor. When diphenyl picryl hydrazyl is added to the system ATP-actinomyosin, its concentration is reduced in a manner which suggests the formation of free radicals during ATP hydrolysis.
