Study on the Pharmacokinetics of Paeoniflorin Contained in Xiongshao Capsule in Canine

Abstract: OBJECTIVE:To determine pharmacokinetic parameters of paeoniflorin (PF)contained in chinese recipe Xiongshao capsule in canine for proper clinic application.METHODS:PF in serum was determined by RP HPLC with UV detector. The concentration time data were fitted using 3p87 Pharmacokinetics Program. RESULTS:The concentration time curves of PF in Xiongshao capsule administrated intragastically fitted open one compartment model. Pharmacokinetic parameters were ka =0 0082±0 0010(min -1 ), ke =0 0060±0 0015(min -1 ), t 1/2Ka =86 10±12 38(min) t 1/2ke =86 10±12 38(min -1 ), t peak =169 16±21 81, t max =3845 89±716 70(μg·L -1 ).

Effects of Xiexin Tang on educing the Level of Blood Glucose in Animal models of Normal and Diabetes Mellitus

Abstract: Effects of Xiexin Tang on the level of blood glucose in serial animal models of normal and diabetes mellitus were studied,and its mechanism on reducing blood glucose were preliminarily explored.Fasting blood glucose(FBG) in normal mice,alloxan induced hyperglycemia or diabetes mellitus (DM),two hours blood glucose (2hBG) after oral glucose tolerance test(OGTT)in rats by dexamethasone(DX) induced insulin resistance (IR) and impaired glucose tolerance(IGT) were determined.Results showed the formula can inhibit the hyperglycemia by ALX induced mice,decrease level of FBG in normal and DM mice obviously,improve IGT by DX induced IR rats,reduce FBG and 2hBG after OGTT.The formula has a similar hypoglycemic action of metformin and gliclazide.

Studies on Compatibility Mechanism of Enriching Blood of Siwu Tang through Assis tant Analyzing by Computer

Abstract: The effect of Siwu Tang with different analytic prescriptions on Enriching blood was observed in blood deficient animals.Based on the result of blood routine examinations and cluster analysis by computer,the original Siwu Tang showed the strongest action compared to different analytic prescriptions.Danggui could play an important role in the original prescription.The combination of Danggui with Baishao or Danggui with Shudi showed the better effect among twodrug combinations.The combination of Danggui with Baishao and Chuanxiong showed the best action among three drug combinations.

Studies on the Extraction Process of Rhizoma Coptidis in Jiangtang Capsule by Orthogonal Design Method

Abstract: By determining berberine with HPLC method,the optimum extraction conditions of rhizoma coptidis in Jiangtang capsule were established.The mobile phase of HPLC was KH 2PO 4 Na 2S 2O 3 H 2O CH 3CN(3 4g∶1 7g∶140ml∶60ml).The best extraction process was as follows:reflux with 80% alcohol for three times,for the first time:6 times alcohol of crude drug for 2hr;the second:5times for 1 5hr and the last:4 times for 1 5hr.

Effect of Kangxian Chinese Prescription on Production of Collagen Type I and III of Hepatic Fat Storing Cells

Abstract: The effects of the drug containing sera from Kangxian Chinese prescription on the expression of collagen type Ⅰand Ⅲ in subcultured fat storing cells from normal liver and primary fat storing cells from fibrous liver of rats were investigated by using immunocytochemical staining. The prescription could significantly inhibit the expression of collagen in fat storing cells.The action was stronger on collagen type Ⅲ in subcultured fat storing cells and collagen type Ⅰ in primary fibrous hepatocytes.
