Abstract: Objective:To observe the pharmacological action of active composition of Radix Saposhnikoviae.Methods:Using methods of acetic acid induced inflammation,anti-aggregation and hemorheological experimentation to study the related pharmacological action.Results:The inflammation effusion induced by acetic acid was inhibited in high dose group,and plasma viscosity was also reduced in high dose group.Prothrombin time was prolonged and ADP-induced platelet aggregation was inhibited in middle and high dose group.Conclusion:The active composition of Radix Saposhnikoviae has marked effects on anti-inflammation,lower plasma viscosity,prolonging prothrombin time and anti-platelet aggregation.

Abstract: Evolution and modern research of Yinchenhao Decoction were reviewed in this article.Yinchenhao Decoction had been modified to treat diseases with jaundice since the times of Zhang Zhong-jing in East Han dynasty.Modern research had validated the following pharmacologic effects of this herbal recipe as promoting bilirubin metabolism,auti-hepatic injury,inhibiting apoptosis of hepatocytes and collagen synthesis and inactivating hepatic stellate cells.The substance basis for above effects involved 6,7-dimethylescutin,genipin and emodin,etc.In addition,several potential targets of these ingredients had also been verified.

Abstract: The law of compatibility is the key element of complex prescription in TCM.Nowadays,research on compatibility law always base on the relationships among the compatibility,the chemical composition and the pharmacological effects.Researchers explained the material basis of complex prescription in different point of view.They studied the pharmacology,pharmacokinetics,blood-serium pharmacology of complex prescription in TCM and had made great progress.With the development of modernization of TCM,new exploration about the study on complex prescription is attempted.The active composition compatibility has become the characteristic of recent study.Gene and protein expression can be taken as the indexes,so we try to reveal the compatibility rule of complex prescription on molecular biology level and try to accelerate the TCM modernization.

Abstract: Objective:To study the protective effect of stachydrine on myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats.Methods:Myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury model was made by ligating the coronary artery for 30min followed by reperfusion for 120min in anesthetized rats.All animals were given the stachydrine or normal saline,danshen after ligation.LDH and CK and SOD activity,MDA content,NO level in serum and in myocardial homogenate and cTnT content in serum were measured.Results:The results showed that stachydrine(3,6,12mg/kg,iv)could inhibit the activity of LDH and CK and cTnT(P0.05 or P0.01),decrease MDA content(P0.01),and increase the SOD activity and NO level(P0.05 or P0.01) in comparison with model group.Conclusion:Stachydrine can protect the effect of myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury in rats.

Abstract: Objective:To study the separation effect of D_(101) macroporous resin for the purification of Paeoniflorin in Radix Paeonia.Methods:HPLC was used to analyze the content of Paeoniflorin,and the adsorption performance and the elution parameters were investigated.Results:The optimal separation conditions were as follows:the concentration of Paeoniflorin was 2.5mg/mL with a flow rate of 3.6BV/h,and 20% alcohol was used as eluant.The adsorption of Paeoniflorin was 32.2mg/g,and the elution ratio of Paeoniflorin was 91.25%,and the purity of Paeoniflorin reached 73.70%.Conclusion:D_(101) resin can be used to refine the Paeoniflorin in the extraction of Radix Paeonia.

Abstract: Objective:To develop a TLCS method for determination of rutin and quercetin in Flos sophorae.Method:A TLCS method was used.The developer was a micro-emulsion consisted of soldium dodecyl sulphate/n-C_4H_9OH/n-C_6H_(14)/H_2O/formicacid(0.27∶0.63∶0.10∶3∶0.2) and the thin layer was polyamide film.The spots of rutin and quercetin were well separated and scanned at 370nm with reference wavelength of 550nm.Results:The linear ranges of calibration curves were 0.2~3.0μg for rutin,0.1~1.0μg for quercetin.The recoveries of rutin and quercetin were 98.8% and 97.1% respectively.Conclusion:A TLCS method has been developed for the simultaneous determination of rutin and quercetin in Flos sophorae.

Abstract: Objective:To probe the cognition enhancing effect of Liuwei Dihuang pill on deterioration of learning and memory induced by D-galactose(D-gal)in rats,and to study the mechanism.Methods:Sub-acute aged animal model was replicated by administration of 75 mg·kg~(-1)·d~(-1) s.c.for 8 weeks.Meanwhile,treating with different dose of Liuwei Dihuang pill for 8 weeks.The learning and memory ability was observed by Morris water maze.Activities of mono amine oxidase(MAO) and acety lcholinesterase(AchE) in brain tissue were detected.Results:High and low dose Liuwei Dihuang pill can enhance learning and memory ability.It can also decrease activities of mono amine oxidase(MAO) and acetylcholinesterase(AchE) in brain tissue.Conclusions:Liuwei Dihuang pill can improve the deterioration of learning and memory induced by D-gal in rats.The possible mechanism are regulating of central cholinergic nerve system and noradrenergic nerve system.

Abstract: Objective:To research the biological activities of polysaccharide from Polygonatum Sibiricum Redoute.Methods:1.Adding PSP to mouse's feed stuff and determining the inhibition of serum lipids by PSP.2.Feeding mouse with PSP to determine PSP's function of anti-aging.3.Feeding mouse with PSP to determine the immune activities.Results:1.PSP has obvious effect in preventing from and treatment of mouse hypercholesterolemia.2.PSP can increase the activities of SOD and GSH-Px in aged mouse blood and decrease the content of LF and MDA in aged mouse heart,liver() and brain.3.PSP has a strong ability to enhance mouse Phagocyte's Phagocytic percentage and Phagocytic index,to increase the content of haemolysin in mouse and the response of the DTH(delayed-type hypersensitivity) in normal mouse and to recover response to DTH in cyclophosphamide(Cy)intoxicated.Conclusion:PSP can reduce the serum lipids,deter aging and enhance the immune reaction in mouse.

Abstract: Objective:To research the protective effect and mechanism of FBD on cerebral ischemia reperfusion.Methods:Rat model of cerebral ischemia was established by applying middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO).Effect of FBD on cerebral functions,infarction percentage,water-contained percentage,biochemical indices and histology of the rat brains after MCAO were in vestigated.Effect of FBD on the blood brain barrier permeability of mice after cerebral ischemia reperfusion were also investigated.Results:FBD can obviously decrease the cerebral function score,cerebral infarct size and water content,improve the activities of Na~+-K~+-ATPase and Ca~(2+)-ATPase.reduce the content of MDA and NO of rat brains(P0.05~0.01),repair pathological injury of ischemia-reperfusion rat.FBD can remarkably decrease blood brain barrier permeability of mice after cerebral ischemia reperfusion(P0.05).Conclusion:FBD has good effects on cerebral ischemia reperfusion.

Abstract: Objective:To observe the analgesic and anti-inflammation effects and possible mechanism of Total Saponins of Psammosilene tunicoids(TSPT).Method:After establishing adjuvant-induced arthritis(AA) rats model,the TSPT'S analgesic and anti-inflammation effects and mechanism against AA was studied through observing changes of the algesia threshold and contents of malondialdehyde(MDA) and Cor in inflammatory-tisssue soak of AA rats.Result:TSPT could inhibit algesia threshold and effectively decrease the content of MDA in inflammatory tissue soak of AA rats.Conclusion:TSPT has good analgesic and anti-inflammation effects and the mechanism is likely related to the decrease of MDA and regulation of Cor.

Abstract: Objective:To explore the change of immunological system in model rat of spleen-qi deficiency induced by complex factors.Methods:Adopting excess fatigue (by swimming) and out of constant diet on rats for constant 3 weeks and stopping doing so in the 4 th week.We observed the change of the weight of thymus and spleen,the index of thymus and spleen,and cell factors of serum of the model rat during different modelling time points.Results:Compared with the control group,the weight of the model rats has no significant change different from that of weight-increasing control group from the 1~3 week.The weight is lighter still though it brings back a little in the 4 th week(P0.001);The weight of thymus and spleen of the model rats is lighter significantly than that of the control group(P0.05 or P0.01 or P0.001).The index of thymus decreased significantly in the 1 st week(P0.01) but came back in the 3 rd、4 th week.The index of spleen increased significantly compared with that of the control group in the 3 rd and 4 th week(P0.05).The interleukin-1β(IL-1β) in serum of the model group increased obviously in the 1 st week(P0.05),and decreased significantly in the 4 th week(P0.01).The interleukin-2(IL-2) in serum of the model group decreased in the 3 rd week and trended to increase again in the 4 th week.The interleukin-6(IL-6) decreased gradually during the 4 weeks.The tumor necrosis factor α(TNF α) trended to increase from 1~3 week,and trended to degrade in the 4 th week.Conclusion:After three weeks,the weight of thymus and the weight of spleen are reduced.In the 4 w the weight of thymus and spleen has no recovery.During the course serum IL-1β degraded continuously,and IL-2、IL-6、TNFα changed disorderly.So it hints the syndrome of spleen-qi deficiency brings about the changes in immunological system.

Abstract: Objective:To observe the effect of non-heating leech extract on coagulation system and platelet aggregation in the model of blood hypercoagulable state induced by ellagic acid in mice and rats.Methods:The model of blood hypercoagulable state was established by intravenous injection of ellagic acid in mice and rats.Bleeding time(BT),clotting time(CT),prothrombin time(PT),active part thrombin time(APTT),activity of coagulation factor Ⅱ and platelet aggregation were examined to observe the effect of non-heating leech extract on coagulation system and platelet aggregation after oral administration.Results:Non-heating leech extract was able to prolong BT and CT in the model mice,PT and APTT in the model rats and to decrease activity of coagulation factor Ⅱ and platelet aggregation in the model rats.Conclusion:Non-heating leech extract produces anticoagulant and antiplatelet aggregation actions in the animal model of blood hypercoagulable state.

Abstract: Objective:To study the effects of Ejiao on Th1/Th2 cytokines and the mechanism of which preventing and curing bronchial asthma.Methods:60 wistar rats were randomly divided into 6 groups.Group A was normal group which were administered with NS.Group B,C and D were administered with low,moderate and high dose Ejiao.Group E were administered with Polysaceharidc.Group F were asthma group.1L-4 and IFN-γ in serum were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Results:Compared with normal group,the concentration of IFN-γ in group F was decreased significantly.compared with asthma group,the concentration of IL-4 of low and moderate dose Ejiao groups and Polysaceharidc group were decreased significantly(P0.05),and there was less eosinophils in the lungs of group A、B、C、E than that in group F.Conclusion:Ejiao could regulate the ratio of Th1/Th2 by decreasing Th2 subset instead of increasing Th1 subset.On the other hand,it could inhibit eosinophils to move from peripheral blood to the lungs of asthma rats.

Abstract: Objective:To elucidate the imcompatible mechanism of traditional Chinese Medicine,the effect of Aconitum coadministration with Lilac Daphne on the main enzyme activity,such as CYP1A2,CYP2E1 and CYP3A1/2.Methods:CYP1A2 and CYP2E1 activities were quantitated by high performance liquid chromatographic(HPLC) assay;CYP3A1/2 activity was quantitated by UV chromatography.Results:Aconitum coadministration with Lilac Daphne obviously promoted the activities of CYP1A2,CYP2E1 and CYP3A1/2(P0.05~0.001).Conclusion:The effect on the enzymes activity of CYP1A2、CYP2E1、CYP3A1/2 of Aconitum coadministration with Lilac Daphne may change the toxic component's metabolism and influence phamarceutical effect and toxicity.The herb-herb interaction maybe occur.

Abstract: Object:To study the effects and mechanism of total flavone from the flowers of Ablemoschl Manihot L.Medic(Tfa) against myocardium injury induced by ischemia and reperfusion.Methods:The ischemia-reperfusion model was induced by after 30 min of coronary occlusion followed by 3.5 h of reperfusion in rats.The creatine phosphokinase(CPK) of serum,the malondialdehyde(MDA) and the superoxide dismutase(SOD) of myocardium were measured.The cell injure model in the cultured neonatal rat cardiomyocytes was induced by anoxia-reoxygenation and remove oxygen and glucose from medium,and the lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) was detected.Apoptosis was determined by terminal deoxy-nucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP-digoxigenin nick end-labeling(TUNEL) method and Bcl-2 expression determined by immunohistochemistry method.Results:The results showed that Tfa can decreased the MDA contents in myocardium and the production of CPK in serum,improved the SOD activitie;also decreased the number of apoptotic cells and enhanced the Bcl-2 expression in injured rat myocardium by ischemia/reperfusion.Tfa showed it can reduced the release of LDH from injured cardiomyocytes.Conclusion:Tfa showed the protective effect against myocardial ischemia and reperfusion injured which might be resist the damaging of oxygen free radical(OFR) and inhibited cardiomyocyte apoptosis.

Abstract: Objective:To investigate the anxiolytic and hypnogenetic effects of Jieyuwan on animal models.Methods:The anxiolytic effects of Jieyuwan were tested in the elevated plus-maze(EPM) and stress-induced hyperthermia in singly housed mice(SIH);the hypnosis effects were studied in pentobarbital-induced sleeping time and subthreshold dose of pentobarbital test in mice.Results:Jieyuwan exhibited the anxiolytic effects in mice by increasing the time percentage into the open-arms in the elevated plus-maze and antagonize stress-induced hyperthermia in singly housed mice.Jieyuwan failed to affect the locomotor activity in mice at the test dose,suggesting Jieyuwan did not induce sedation in the anxiolytic doses.Jieyuwan could prolong the time of sleep in pentobarbital-induced sleeping time in mice and increase the percentage of falling asleep in subthreshold dose of pentobarbital test.Conclusion:Jieyuwan has definite antianxiety and hypnotic effects in animal models.

Abstract: Objective:To explore effect of Buyang Huanwu Decoction(BHD) and its active fractions such as alkaloid and glycoside extracted from BHD on thromboxane(TXA_2) and prostacyclin(PGI_2) of arterial thrombosis model in rats.Methods:Carotid arterial thrombosis model in rats was induced by topical ferric chloride.The model rats were administered with BHD,alkaloid,glycoside,low molecular weight heparin(LMWH) and ticlopidine respectively.Weight of thrombus and the levels of TXB_2 and 6-keto-PGF_(1α) in plasma in each group were compared.Results:Occlusive thrombus was induced,the levels of TXB_2 were increased markedly(P0.05),the levels of 6-ketoPGF_(1α) were lower remarkably in the model group(P0.05).Weight of thrombus in BHD,alkaloid,LMWH and ticlopidine group was significantly lower than that of the model group(P0.05).BHD could increase the levels of 6-ketoPGF_(1α)(P0.05),but it did not influence the levels of TXB_2.Alkaloid could decrease the levels of TXB_2 and increase the levels of 6-keto-PGF_(1α) significantly(P0.05).Glycocide,LMWH and ticlopidine had no influence on the levels of TXB_2 and 6-keto-PGF_(1α).Conclusions:Antithrombotic actions of BHD,alkaloid,glycoside,LMWH and ticlopidine were observed.Antithrombotic actions of BHD may be related to accelerating synthesis of PGI_2.Antithrombotic actions of alkaloid may be associated to inhibiting production of TXA_2 and increasing synthesis of PGI_2.Antithrombotic actions of glycoside,LMWH and ticlopidine was not based on its modulation on TXA_2 and PGI_2,it may be concerned with other aspects.

Abstract: Objective:Through analyzing the origin and evolution and understanding the compatible content of Angelica Decoction for Tonifying Blood,discovering the inherent relation among the compatibility,function and disease,inner laws for differentiation syndrome in principle for formula compatibility will be explored.Methods:We discussed the links between the compatibility of Angelica Decoction for Tonifying Blood and the disease that this decoction can treat by researching the ancient and modern literature.Results:Though the different cognitions about the effect of this decoction by doctors in different era exist,the pathogeny of the disease that Angelica Decoction for Tonifying Blood can treat is blood deficiency.We find that the emphasis of Tonifying Blood in this decoction is different because of the compatible difference according to the modern medicine research.Conclusion:The function stress of Angelica Decoction is tonifying blood."Blood deficiency"consists in pathologic change of the disease which this decoction can cure continually.

Abstract: Objective:To develop a method for the determination of scopoletin in Qinghao.Method:Sample was extracted with methanol.Scopoletin in Qinghao was determined by HPLC with ODS column.The mobile phase was methanol-0.08% H_3PO_4(4∶6)solution.The detection wavelength was 340nm.Result:Scopoletin in sample solution was well separated.Linearity of scopoletin was good(r=(0.999 9))in range of 0.021~0.42μg.The average recovery was 99.3%,RSD was 2.0%.Conclusion:The method is simple,accurate,repeatable and suitable for the determination of scopoletin in Qinghao.

Abstract: Objective:To study the effect of Houshiheisan on hemorheological parameters,antioxidase activities and malondialdehyde(MDA) contents in the brain of rats with ischemia,so as to explore the protective mechanisms of rats with occlusion of the middle cerebral artery.Methods:Focal cerebral ischemia in rats was produced by 24 h occlusion of the middle cerebral artery(MCAO).The effects on blood viscosity,erythrocyte deformability and erythrocyte aggregability and the activities of GSH-PX、SOD、CAT and MDA in ischemic tissue of brain were observed.Results:Houshiheisan could significantly improve the erythrocyte deformability,reduce blood viscosity,erythrocyte aggregability and improve the activities of all the enzymes mentioned above and reduce the contents of MDA in ischemic tissue of brain.Conclusion:The results indicate Houshiheisan provides protective effect against focal cerebral ischemic injury and this effect may be related to improving the hemorheological parameters,increasing in activities of the GSH-PX、SOD、CAT,and reducing the lipid peroxidation.

Abstract: Objective:To investigate the effect of different ratio of Huangqi Decoction(3∶1,6∶1,9∶1) on cholestatic cirrhosis in rats.Method:Rat cholestatic cirrhosis was duplicated by ligation of bile duct.After 1 week rats were divided into model control group and different ration of Huangqi Decoction groups.The oral administration of Huangqi Decoction lasted for 4 weeks,and then rats were sacrificed for determination of liver function,liver tissue Hyp conten and histological changes.Results:cholestatic cirrhosis was successfully duplicated after 5 weeks modeling.Compared with that of normal group,serum GGT and ALP activity,serum TBiL content and liver tissue Hyp content in model group increased significantlly(P0.05~0.01 vs sham),while serum TP and Alb content decreased significantly.Compared with that of model group,degree of cirrhosis in groups of ratio 3∶1 and 6∶1 of Huangqi Decoction alleviated significantly,serum ALP and GGT activity,serum TBiL content and liver tissue Hyp content decreased significantly(P0.05~0.01 vs 5W model).Conclusion:The ratio of 3∶1 and 6∶1 of Huangqi Decoction inhibits formation of cholestatic cirrhosis effectively.

Abstract: Objective:To observe the protective effect of(-)-Catechin gallate and(+)-Epicatechin on Xanthine-Xanthine Oxidase System injury in cultured cardiomyocytes.Methods:The injury model of cultured neonatal rat cardiomyocytes was induced by Xanthine-Xanthine Oxidase System.Cell proliferation was detected by MTT assay,lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) activity,Maleic Dialdehyde(MDA) and Superoxide Dismutase(SOD) level in supernatant were measured with colorimetric assay.Results:Compared with model group,(-)-CG,(+)-EC can obviously increase survival rate of cardiomyocytes,decrease LDH activity and MDA level,increase SOD level in supernatant.Conclusion:(-)-CG、(+)-EC can protect cultured cardiomyocytes against Xanthine-Xanthine Oxidase System damage.

Abstract: Objective:To observe gastroenteric hormones content changes of blood in model rat of spleen-qi deficiency during different modelling time points.Methods:Adopting excess fatigue(by swimming) and out of constant diet on rats for constant three weeks and stopping doing on them in the 4w.Results:Compared with the control group,the model rats distinctly appear diet reduction,feces rarefaction,reduction activities,accidie and extrados,etc in modelling 2~3w;weight significantly failed,and it has yet to come back in the 4w;urine D-xylose excretion rate significantly falled during 2~4w;GAS and MTL level of serum failed in the 3w and significantly came back during natural recovery period;SS level markedly lower in the 1w,and no significant changes in the remaining time points;VIP level markedly rised in the 2w,and significantly failed in 3w;SP level clearly failed in the 3w;NPY level clearly lower in the 2~3w,and β-EP level clearly declined in the 4w.Conclusion:The model rat made by excess fatigue and out of constant diet for constant three weeks can appear diet reduction,feces rarefaction,reduction activities,etc;and abnormal changes of weight,urine D-xylose excretion rate,and gastroenteric hormones of Blood.

Abstract: Objective:To investigate the therapeutic mechanisms of Qing Yi decoction on acute lung injury induced by acute hemorrhagic necrotizing pancreatitis in rats.Methods:AHNP model was induced by intraductul administration of 5% sodium taurocholate in Wistar rat.Qing Yi decoction was administered orally 30 minutes after model induction.Sandostain(50μg/kg) was administrated by subcutaneous injection after model induction.The other animals were used to observe the 24hour-mortality.Animals were killed on various hours after model induction(3,6,12h).Bronchoalveolar lavage(BAL) macrophages NF-κ B activation was determined by ELISA method.Pulmonary TNF_α,PLA_2,myeloperoxidase(MPO)were examined.The Levels of Amylase,Lipase,PLA_2 of serum were determined also.Morphologic changes of lung and pancreas were observed under light microscopy.Results:In Qing Yi decoction group,the mortality was significantly reduced;Lung and pancreas injury was markedly reduced;Qing Yi decoction significantly attenuated NF-κ B activation of BAL macrophages.PLA_2,TNF_α levels of serum and lung tissue were decreased significantly.Conclusions:Qing Yi decoction has protective effects on AHNP-ALI through multiple pathways,among these,the inhibitory effect on PLA_2 activity is an important one.Qing Yi decoction can attenuate the "PLA_2-NF-κ B-cytokine cascade" markedly.

Abstract: Objective:To observe the possible influence of YUEHUA capsule(YHC) on T Lymphocyte subgroup and TH1/TH2 cytokines in rats with Multi-drug resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) and its mechanism for this effect.Methods:The experimental rats,as the studying model,were Divided into the modeling group,YHC group,the drug of antituberculosis (OEZD) group and YHC OEZD group in random process. And there was normal group. Then CD4+,CD8+,CD4+/CD8+,IFN-γ,IL-2,IL-10,and TNF-α were observed in the all group.Result:Compared with the modeling group,CD4+,CD4+/CD8+,IFN-γ and IL-2 were significantly controlled to go down(P0.01),and IL-10,INF-α were significantly controlled to go up (P0.05) in YHC group,OEZD group and YHC OEZD group. Compared with OEZD group,in YHC OEZD group the findings were significantly different(P0.05).Conclusion:YHC holds therapeutic effects on rats with MDR-TB. These effects may be associated with the controlled Level of CD4+,CD4+/CD8+ and TH1/TH2 cytokines,including IFN-γ,IL-2 and IL-10,and TNF-α.

Abstract: Objective:To observe the influence of sedum sarmentosum tricin-glucoside on proliferation of spleen T and B lymphocytes of normal mice.Methods:Method of mixturing()~3H-TdR to mice spteen cell was applied.After stimulation with canavaline(ConA)or lipid polysaccharides(LPS),the radioactive relative quantity(cpm) of()~3H-TdR in DNA in spleen cell.Results:The dosages in 100,10,1μg/mL(final concentration)of sedum sarmentosum tricin-ghcoside had highly significant inhibition to cpm number of T lymphocyte(P0.001);the dosage in 100μg/mL of sedum sarmentosum tricin-glucoside had highly significant inhibition to cpm number of B lymphocyte (P0.01).Conchsions:Sedum sarmentosum tricin-glucoside can obviously inhibit proliferation of spleen T and B lymphocytes of normal mice.
