A control study of citalopram and fluoxtine in the treatment of poststroke depression

Abstract: Objective To study the efficacy and safety of citalopram and fluoxtine in the treatment of poststroke depression.Methods Patients with diagnosis of poststroke depression and fulfilling the admission criteria to the study were randomly assigned to two groups that were treated with citalopram and fluoxtine.The therapeutic responses were evaluated with HAMD and TESS.Results There were significant differences with HAMD between before and after the treatment of both citalopram and fluoxtine.The effect of citalopram treating poststroke depression were equal with that of fluoxtine.There were little difference with TESS between reboxetine and fluoxtine.Conclusions Citalopram has the effect of anti-depression and little severity adverse effect,so it can be a effective and safe drug to treat poststroke depression.

Analysis of adverse drug reaction reports

Abstract: Objective To investigate the essential features of adverse drug reactions(ADR)in our hospital,assess the quality of ADR reports and provide information for ADR monitoring and rational drug use.Methods All reported ADR cases were downloaded from provincial center for ADR monitoring.Some data formats were converted or added necessarily.All items of the report form were collected and analyzed.Results 16 drug categories and total 98 kinds of medicines were involved in 360 ADR cases.31 antimicrobials and 13 Chinese herbal preparations,which led to 203 ADR cases and 28 ADR cases respectively,ranked first and second among all the drugs.The lesions of ADR involved primarily skin and its accessories(3%),then gastrointestinal system(21%).The intravenous route of administration caused 235 ADR cases(65%).New and severe ADR reports are few.The qualities of most reports were poor.Conclusion The training program for ADR reporters and cultivation of professional ability should be strengthened.ADR reporters'cognition and responsibility should be enhanced so as to improve the report quality.

Application and therapeutic effect of Articaine in the dental treatment

Abstract: Objective Observation anesthesia therapeutic effect of acute pulpitis patients by injecting Articaine with local infiltration.Methods 120 patients were divided into two groups randomly,deploying different anaesthesia methods,experimental group injected Articaine and control group injected Lidocaine.Observation two groups' therapeutic effect in the endodontic treatment.ResultsContrast experimental group and control group,there was a significant deviation(P0.05),anesthesia therapeutic effect of experimental group surpass control group.ConclusionAnesthesia effect of Articaine obtain more and more approve and satisfaction,which may applicate replace Lidocaine in the dental therapy.

Preparation and release characteristics in vitro of tacrolimus nanospheres

Abstract: Objective To prepare tacrolimus nanospheres and study their physical state and release characteristics in vitro.Methods Tacrolimus nanospheres were prepared by emulsion-solvent evaporation method with PEG-PLA. The nanospheres were characterized in terms of morphology,size,encapsulation efficiency,the rate of drug loading and in vitro drug release. The physical state of PPT was determined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and dynamic light scatter (DLS).Results The preparing technology was feasible. Theformed nanospheres were spherical with smooth surfaces. The distribution of particle size was uniform and average particle size was (545.1±0.9)nm. The rate of drug loading was (18.90±3.22) % and the encapsulation efficiency was (25.0±1.6)%. In vitro release study revealed that the 35-day accumulated release percentage reached 67.21%.Conclusion The sustained release tacrolimus nanoshperes prepared by emulsion-solvent evaporation method can satisfy the clinical demand.

Proliferative Effects of Different Extract of Polygonum Multiflorum Thunberg on Spleen Lymphocytes in Mice

Abstract: Objective To investigate the proliferative effects of different extract of Polygonum multiflorum Thunberg on spleen lymphocytes of mice. MethodsProliferation of T cells was induced by Con A. The proliferation ability of lymphocyte was detected by XTT assay. ResultsThe butanol and ethyl acetate extract from Polygonum multiflorum Thunberg can both accelerate proliferation of spleen lymphocytes directly and increased proliferation of T cells of mice induced by Con A. The chloroform extracts can inhibited the proliferation of spleen lymphocytes and T cells induced by Con A. Conclusion The different active fractions of Polygonum multiflorum Thunberg has different immune regulating activities,it indicated that Polygonum multiflorum Thunberg probably has double immunoregulation.

The research of 3D reconstruction method of Mimics V10.0 software

Abstract: Objective To research 3D reconstruction method and principle of Mimics V10.0 software.Methods A normal skull,a normal left knee and a left knee of severe hyperostosis were scanned on the basis of 5 or 10 mm-thick by GE Lightspeed 16 Plus spiral CT.Then the thin layer reconstruction images of 1.25-mm-thick was gotten on GE Advanced Workstation.The reconstruction image of Dicom format was read in the Mimics directly. After utilization thresholding and 3D Region Growing,the new mask was acquired.The 3D model was gotten after 3D reconstruction that was based on the new mask.Results The 3D model that was obtained in Mimics could be rotated,cut and was easy to measure.Furthermore the outline of it was clear,the step artifact was less.When the extremities was connectted by the sclerotin through the joint space of the left knee,the 3D Object model displayed the inferior extremity of left femur was connectted with the superior extremity of left tibia.Conclusion The principle of 3D Region Growing is algorithm for spatial connectivity.The 3D reconstruction uses surface shaded display(SSD).The clinical doctor can get the vivid volumetric display of the tissue or organ of human by Mimics.And this software can be utilized in the research of archaeology,body constitution.

The Action of antibacterial activity of Certex phellodendri against staphylococcus

Abstract: Objective Observation of antibacterial efficiency of Certex phellodendri,Radix sanguisorbae and Radix arnebiae seu lithospermi against 120 clinical strains of staphylococcus used by new method for traditional Chinese medicine.MethodsMIC of determination was performed by agar dilution method.ResultsStaphylococcus epiderm all could be suppressed by Certex phellodendri,Radix arnebiae seu lithospermi or/and Radix sanguisorbae.When they were mixed in the proportion of 1:1:2,they showed better antiseplic effect than Certex phellodendri,Radix sanguisorbae of Radix arnebiae seu lithospermi alone.ConclusionAntibacterial efficiency is excellent for Certex phellodendri,Radix sanguisorbae,Radix arnebiae seu lithospermi and their dispense against staphylococcus.

The Current Situation of Peritoneoscopic Appendectomy through the Umbilicus

Abstract: Objective To know the anatomical featurel of the umbilicus for the minical oporitione.Methods The depth of the umbilicus and the outer and inner diameters of the umbilicus were measured in 260 Chinese with a divider,a ruler,and plasticine.Results The depth and the diameters of the umbilicus did not have a clear relationship with the height and age but had a positive correlation with the height and weight of the Chinese.Conclusion The quantitys of umbilicus of The adult of Saiece esltablish for refernce of minute wound operations.

Investigation and analysis on the needs for health education in patients with coronary heart disease

Abstract: Objective To provide effective mode of health education in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD),the needs for health education in patients with CHD were investigated.Methods Questionnaire and interview were used to survey the requirement for health education of 100 patients with CHD.Results They knew a little CHD-related knowledge,but less in depth.The main way acquirng CHD-related knowledge were from medical staff.91%of patients thought that it was necessary to carry out health education.They had most needs for the knowledge on prevention and disposal of acute attack.The major choice of education means was visit to the patients and giving instruction.Conclusion Meical staff should lay importance on the health education of patients with CHD.The education should be selective in line with the practical needs of patients.

Clinical usefulness of cetuximab in combination with chemotherapy in the treatment of gastrointestinal cancer

Abstract: Objective The aim of this study was to investigate the response to cetuximab in combination with chemotherapy in gastrointestinal cancers.Methods 17 patients with gastrointestinal cancer were treated with cetuximab-containing regimen which included irinotecan and oxaliplatin-based regimen or irinotecan only.The efficacy and toxicity were evaluated.Results Of the 17 patients,13 patients were evaluable.The rate of response(RR) was 46.2% and the disease control rate(DCR) was 76.9%.The median time of tumor progression(TTP) was 4.0 months.6 patients received the first-line therapy,the RR was 66.7%,DCR was 83.3%,median TTP was 4.8 months.Of the 13 patients,8 patients were colorectal cancer.The RR was 50%,DCR was 87.5%,median TTP was 5.0 months,3 patients received the first-line therapy got PR.Rash was observed in 52.9% of the patients,but it didn't show that the appearance of rash was parallel with efficacy.Conclusion Cetuximab combined with chemotherapy has clinically acivity in patients with gastrointestinal cancers especially in the first-line therapy,and the toxicities were tolerable.It deserved enlargement of the samples and further research.

The differential expression of CA125 and AFP in primary liver cancer

Abstract: Objective To analyze the expression of CA125 and AFP in primary liver cancer.MethodsImmunoradio metric assay and statistical analysis was used to quantify the levels of CA125 and AFP in the serum of 63 case of primary liver cancer patient.ResultsThe quantify of CA125 and AFP were(172.8±200.5)ku/L and(262.4±286.3)ug/L.If CA125 35 ku/L,AFP20 ug/L was diagnostic level,the positive rates in primary liver cancer of CA125 and AFP were 69.5 % and 68.3 %,the positive rates of combination CA125 and AFP was 87.3 %.Used Ridit analysis,the positive rates of CA125 and AFP were not statistic significance ;used correlation analysis,CA125 and AFP were not linear correlation.Used χ2 analysis,The positive rates of CA125 or AFP has statistic significance with the positive rates of combination.ConclusionsCA125 is a good tumor mark of primary liver cancer,not statistic significance with AFP,and combination AFP can have higher positive rates in primary liver cancer.

Immunological Functions Affected by Matrine in Immunocompromised Mice

Abstract: Objective The main aim was to observe immunological functions affected by matrine in immunocompromised mice with the hope to find out the likely mechanism in treating chronic hepatitis B.Methods Immunocompromised mice were administrated with matrine of different dosages,then,the ability of reticuloendothelial system,the carboxylesterase dyeing rate of T-leukomonocyte,the delayed type hypersensitivity induced by dinitrochlorobenzol,and the antibody of serum hemolysin were observed.Results Matrine was able not only to inhibit the carboxylesterase dyeing rate of T-leukomonocyte,but to enhance the ability of reticuloendothelial system.There were no significant effects on the others.Conclusion Matrine was able to inhibit cell mediated immunity,and enhance nonspecific immunity;which could be one of the mechanisms in treating chronic hepatitis B.

Abstract: Objective To explore the effects on serum prolactin(PRL)of seroquel and rrisperidong in the treatmemt of female schizophrenic patients and the relationship between the level of serum PRL and drug's effectMethods 80 female schizophrenic patients were treated with seroquel or risperidone randomlyThe levels of serum PRL were measured and the scores of PANSS were evaluated before treatment and at the 8th week respectivelyResults There were no significant differences in PANSS basal scores and the decreased score value after the treatment in two groupsThe level of serum PRL in risperidone group increased markedly than seroquel groupBoth drug's effect are not related with serum PRLConclusion Seroquel has less effect on the level of serum PRL in female schizophrenic patientsSo seroquel is more suitable for the treatment of female schizophrenic patients

Clinical observation of effect of Yening Jiaonang on senile refractory insomnia

Abstract: Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of Yening Jiaonang on senile refractory insomnia.Methods 180 cases of senile insomnia were selected and divided into Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)group treated with Yening Jiaonang (120 cases) and antitheses group treated with Estazolam (60 cases). Improvement of sleep and occurrence of side effect in two groups were compared.Results Clinical therapeutic effect was more obvious in the TCM group as compared with the antitheses group (93.3%and 48.3%, P0.05); occurrence of side effect was fewer in the TCM group (P0.01).Conclusion Yening Jiaonang is more valuable in clinical application because it has preferable therapeutic effect on senile refractory insomnia and has little side effect.

Efficacy of concurrent and sequential chemoradiotherapy for the treatment of patients with esophageal carcinoma

Abstract: Objective To study the clinical efficacy between concurrent chemoradiotherapy and sequential chemoradiotherapy for esophageal carcinoma.Methods 49 patients with esophageal carcinoma were randomly divided into two groups,26 patients in the concurrent chemoradiotherapy group,while 23 patients in the sequential chemoradiotherapy group.Results In the concurrent group the overall response(CR+PR) rate was 92.3%(24/26) with complete response in 18(69.2%) patients and partial response in 6(23.1%) patients.In the sequential group the overall response(CR+PR) rate was 82.6%(19/23) with complete response in 10(43.5%) patients and partial response in 9(39.1%) patients.The 3-year survival rate was 34.6%(9/26) and 8.7%(2/23).There was statistical difference in the survival rate and no statistical difference between the overall response rate of two groups.The acute toxic effect was more severe in the concurrent group than the sequential group,but it could be tolerable by all of patients.Conclusion The concurrent chemoradiotherapy has better lengthen the survival time than sequential chemoradiotherapy.The toxic and side effect of the concurrent chemoradiotherapy were more severe than those of the sequential chemoradiotherapy,but they were well endurable.

Clinical approach to 29 patients of diabetic ketoacidosis

Abstract: Objective Approach to inducing factors,clinical characteristics and salvaging methods of diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA).Methods To retrospectively analyze the 29 DKA in-patients of our hospital.Results 6 patients are of type I diabetes mellitus (DM),23 patients of type II DM among 29 patients; 24 patients with a past history of diabetes.Infection is the most common inducing factor of DM,other factors are withdrawal or misuse of hypoglycemic drugs,exertion,operation,trauma,improper diet and so on,most DKA patients has over 2 inducing factors,only 3 patients report no inducing factor.Conclusion Drip of small dose of insulin,correct the derangement of water and electrolytes and remove inducing factors therapy achieved satisfactory effect on 27 patients,blood glucose drops below 13.9 mmol/L in 4-11 h; average recovering time of ketone bodies is(18.9±5.8)h.2 patients died,one die of severe infection,the other die of renal failure.Conclusion:complicated inducing factors of DKA can result a series of severe metabolic disorder.Delayed diagnosis and improper management can jeopardize patient’s life.Comprehensive therapy involving continuous drip of small dose of insulin is the effective management of DKA,prevention of inducing factors,promptly diagnosis and treatment is the key to reduce the death rate of DKA.

A contrast observation of quetiapine and clozapine in affecting electroencephalogram

Abstract: Objective To explore that quetiapine and clozapine made the differences to electroencephalogram respectively.Methods 130 patients who met the CCMD-2-R criteria for schizophrenia were divided into two equal groups treated with quetiapine and clozapine respectively,monitored with electroencephalogram,observed the curative effects with PANSS after the second and the forth and the sixth week respectively.Results The abnormal electroencephalogram incidence was 29%in quetiapine group,and 80%in clozapine group(P0.01).The abnormal electroencephalogram changes caused by quetiapine and clozapine did not relate to the clinical curative effects.Conclusion Quetiapine was able to cause the abnormal electroencephalogram changes,but they were inferior to that of clozapine.

Study on content determination of Baicalin from extract powder of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi by different extraction technique

Abstract: Objective To establish a method for content determination of baicalin in extract powder of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi and to optimize the extraction technique.Methods Taking Baicalin as index,we use the technique of HPLC to determine its content.Then compare the difference among water-extracting and acid-depositing;alcohol-extracting and acid-depositing and ultrasonic-method.Results The content from ultrasonic extraction of the baicalin is the highest.In the range of 7.58-121.36 μg,the baicalin shows good linear relationship.The recovery of baicalin is 99.25 %.Conclusion The ultrasonic extraction method is steady,reasonable,feasible and efficient.

Current status of artemisinin derivatives anticancer properties

Abstract: Artemisinin and its derivatives are well known antimalaria drugs.In recent years,there are a lot of reports of artemisinins about it’s anticancer activities in vitro and in vivo,and it have had some experiences in clininal.There are more transferrin receptors on tumor cell surface than normal l human cells,so there are more iron in the tumor cells.artemisinins react with iron to generate free radicals,and free radicals kills the tumor cells.Transferrin receptors express more and uptake more iron during the G1 phase,so artemisinins induces apoptosis mainly during this phase,it also has the antiangiogenic effect.Tagging artemisinin to transferrin,both iron and artemisinin would be transported into cancer cells in one package.This would enhance the toxicity and selectivity of artemisinin towards cancer cells.

Determination of chlorogenic acid and rutin in Lycium barbarum L.from different habitats by HPLC

Abstract: Objective To develop a RP-HPLC method with gradient dilution for determination of chlorogenic acid in Lycium barbarumL from different habitatsMethods The separation was performed on a Shim-pack VP-ODS 250 mm ×46 mm(5 μm),acetonitrile/water/acetic acid(5 ∶ 945 ∶ 05)was used as the mobile phase A and acetonitrile/water/acetic acid(70 ∶ 295 ∶ 05)as the mobile phase B with gradient elution,the flow rate was 05 ml/min,the detective wavelength was at 342 nm and the temperature was 30℃Results The good linearity of chlorogenic acid was obtained over the ranges of 10~100 μg/ml(r=0999 8),the average recovery was 986%(n=5); the content of chlorogenic acid in Lycium barbarumL from different habitats was differentConclusion Being rapid and reproducible,the method can be used to determine chlorogenic acid in Lycium barbarumLfrom different habitats

Research on the clinical pharmacokinetics of irinotecan

Abstract: Objective To discuss the pharmacokinetics of irinotecan.Methdods 11 cases of patients with colorectal cancer are treated with double week plan.Results The AIC and SC of 5 cases of are fitted with patients two-compartment model is less than the three-compartment model.The results of 2 patients is just contrary,more suitable for three-compartment model.The AIC and SC of rest 4 patients are greatly close with two-compartment and three-compartment model.Conclusions The metabolic process in human body of CPT-11 is both prescribed with two-compartment and three-compartment model,and is not be changed resulting for the combined medication.

Studies on Optimum Extraction Technology for Volatile Oil in Notopterygium by Orthogonal Test

Abstract: Objective To establish the extraction technology of volatile oil from Notopterygium.Methods The othogonal test was employed to test the effects among volume of adding volume of water,time of immersion and time of extraction on the contents of volatile oil and optimize the extraction technology by orthogonal test.Results The best conditions for the extraction was 8 times the volume of water increases,Immersion 1.5 h and 6 h extraction.Conclusion Extraction conditions can be controlled easily,and provide a theoretical basis for the production.
