TL;DR: In this article, it was found that the higher burning ratio is a sign that a flow is more likely to encounter a burning sur face of a propel lea face, and the higher the burning ratio, the more turbulent the flow is.
Abstract: In [1-5] it was found that a flow pa ra l l e l to the burning sur face of a propel lan t changes i t s l inear bu rn ing r a t e . TMs effect i s usual ly cal led e ros ive burning. The burning r a t e may r i s e or fal l (positive and negat ive eros ion, r e spec t ive ly ) . Pos i t ive e ros ion has a we l l es tab l i shed phys ica l explanation: the higher burning r a t e is a t t r ibutable to an i n c r e a s e in the effect ive t h e r m a l conductivity and diffusion coeff ic ients in the developed s m a l l s c a l e turbulent p roduc t flow (Damkb~le r -Shehe lk in effect) . With r e g a r d to negat ive e ros ion it is poss ib le to advance two hypotheses .

TL;DR: In this article, it has been shown that one needs exact informat ion about the s ize dis tr ibut ion for the A1203 par t i c les not only for the peak in the numer ica l d is t r ibution but also throughout the region of the weight function where the number of par t ices is less than that at the peak by 4-6 o rde r s of magnitude, in o rd e r to ca lcula te the s p e c t r a l c h a r a
Abstract: The a lumina pa r t i c les produced in combust ion of a luminized condensed s y s t e m s have a ve ry wide s ize range [1-3]; i t has been shown [3, 4] that one needs exact informat ion about the s ize dis tr ibut ion for the A1203 par t i c les not only nea r the peak in the numer ica l d is t r ibut ion but throughout the region of the weight function where the number of par t i c les is less than that at the peak by 4-6 o rde r s of magnitude, in o r d e r to ca lcula te the s p e c t r a l c h a r a c t e r i s t i c s of f lames f rom aluminized fuels in the vis ible and in f r a r ed reg ions .
