TL;DR: Spartina sp (Townsendii and anglica) was introduced in the Ho Bugt area at Esbjerg in 1931 as mentioned in this paper and showed an extremely plastic morphological response to varying conditions of tidal submergence and exposure on different parts of the marsh.
Abstract: Spartina sp (“townsendii” and anglica) was introduced in the Ho Bugt area at Esbjerg in 1931 The investigation is based on a study of a sample area on the peninsula Skallingen during the years 1957, 1960, 1965 and 1970, on litterature and on a survey of the whole bay in 1971 The colonization in the different parts of the bay is described “Spartina shows an extremely plastic morphological response to the varying conditions of tidal submergence and exposure on different parts of the marsh This enables it to occupy a wide range of zones occupied in other areas by a series of different plant communities” (Ranwell, 1964) “It has, in fact, not only taken possession of a vacant ecological niche, but has spread from this to form a serious competition to other salt marsh species of long standing” (Goodman ao, 1959)

TL;DR: In this paper, the extent of sedimentation in reservoir and canals has been measured and, throughout one year, monthly measurements were made of the bed load transport and of suspended load transport in the rivers flowing to the power station.
Abstract: Karlsgarde Hydroelectric Power Station in SW Jylland had troubles with sedimentation in reservoir and canals. The extent of it has been measured and, throughout one year, monthly measurements were made of the bed load transport and of suspended load transport in the rivers flowing to the power station. A relation between discharge and bed load transport as well as between discharge and suspended load transport has been calculated. The amount of material transported during an “average year” has been found by means of duration curves. Some of the applied methods are described. The bed load transport was measured by various methods a.o. by measurement of the downstream advance of the bedforms. Fluorescent- coloured sand was used as tracer material. Its migration gave a qualitative impression of the intensity of the material transport which proved to be in good accordance with the other results. However, this method is too laborious for a quantitative determination of sediment transport.

TL;DR: Schou et al. as discussed by the authors described the coastal morphology of a low coast milieu in eastern Denmark based on an original detailed mapping including a barrier island, fed-formations, recurved-spits, an inlet and the inner part of the offshore zone.
Abstract: Description of the coastal morphology of a low coast milieu in eastern Denmark based on an original detailed mapping including a barrier island, fed-formations, recurved-spits, an inlet and the inner part of the offshore zone. Changes in the morphology of a recurved-spit system have been followed during a period of one year. “A fed is a marine foreland, formed in attachment with the mainland in front of a bay on the basis of diverging recurved spits. On the sea side old parts of the fed will often be eroded and younger parts will grow in width. During this process the coastline is curving around a fulcrum which is moving towards the distal point of the fed”. Axel Schou

TL;DR: In this article, the determination of organic nitrogen in the seabottom of a tidal area along the coast of western Denmark has been performed at bi-weekly intervals throughout one year.
Abstract: Determination of organic nitrogen in the seabottom of a tidal area along the coast of western Denmark has been performed at bi-weekly intervals throughout one year. Temperatures, salinities and some environmental factors affecting intertidal communities have been noted; grain size determinations have been performed on a selected number of samples.

TL;DR: In this paper, a part-result of a research project in Copenhagen is presented, which is aimed at focusing on the geographical aspects of the analysis, the cartography and the spatial description.
Abstract: A part-result of a research project in Copenhagen. A description is given of the principal component analysis which is thereafter used on available data material. It has been aimed at to focus on the geographical aspects of the analysis, the cartography and the spatial description. As example has been chosen the social, the demographic and the physical structure of the municipality of Copenhagen.
