Abstract: Objective To study the effects of Tourmaline on the proliferation of human vascular endothelial cells using co-culture methodMethods A co-culture between vascular endothelial cells (ECV- 304) and Tourmaline was performed using a millicell membrane culture dish, to which a Tourmaline small ball was added The cell morphology, cell confluence area, cell count and PCNA immunocytochemical changes were used as parameters of cell proliferation in co-culture Results At 24 h after co-culture the ECV - 304 cell morphology has not changed, its shape was like a cobblestone and cell confluence area reached 9017%±349% from 7950% ±592% (Oh) In Tourmaline group the cell count increased 1662% ±4 14% and PCNA positive cell was 4350% ±319% Compared with the control group, the differences were significant (P 001) Conclusions Tourmaline may stimulate the proliferation of culture ECV - 304 via increase of DNA synthesis

Abstract: Objective To observe the effect of Danhong injection on marks of blood-serum Inflammatory reaction of the patients of ACS with PCI.To discuss the relationship between the use of Danhong injection and the cardiovascular event in the earlier period after PCI.Methods 91 patients with PCI in our hospital from June 2004 to June 2007 were divided randomly into two groups.The control group was treated with the conventional therapy,and the treatment group was treated with intravenous drip of Danhong injection for 4 weeks besides the conventional therapy.Test the hs-CRP,ET,Fg,Blood-fats three times(the day before PCI,the second day after PCI and 4 weeks later) and observe the incidence rate of the cardiovascular event.Results The levels of inflammatory reactions of two groups increased obviously in the second day after PCI,and decreased obviously 4 weeks later.The level of the treatment group was lower than that of the control group 4 weeks later.The incidence rate of the cardiovascular event has a tendency to become lower in the treatment group than that in the control group.Conclusion Danhong injection used in the patients of ACS after PCI can inhibit inflammatory reaction,cut down the level of LDL-C and reduce the cardiovascular event.

Abstract: Objective To investigate the antiangiogenesis effect of cryptotanshinone on chick embryo chorioallantoic membrane(CAM).Methods Cryptotanshinone loaded with methylcellulose membranes was applied on chick CAM surface of 6-day-old eggs and incubated for 48 hours.Local vessel density was measured under dissection microscope(10×).The inhibitory effects on CAM angiogenesis were evaluated by inhibition rate.Results Cryptotanshinone at 0.1 μg/egg and 0.2 μg/egg dose-dependently decreased the density of local blood vessels,with inhibitory rate of 65% and 72% respectively.The vessels in cryptotanshinonetreated groups were damaged compared with those in the control group.Conclusion Cryptotanshinone significantly inhibits chick CAM angiogenesis.

Abstract: Objective To investigate the correlation of dyslipidemia and the disease activity, and the relation with cardio-cerebral vessel incidents. Methods The correlations of blood lipids and pathological types, 24 hours urine protein, serum creatinine, disease activity index of SLE (SLEDAI), cardio-cerebral vessel incidents in patients with LN were analyzed. Results Dyslipidemia was found in 100 patients(50.5%). Patients with LN of type IV and V mostly had dyslipidemia. TG, Tch, LDL,apoB, lp(a) were correlated with 24 hour urine protein(P0.05 of 0.01); lp(a) was correlated with Scr(r=0.195,P0.05). SLEDAI of patients with dyslipidemia was significantly higher than that of patients with normal blood lipids(P0.05). TG was correlated with SLEDAI(r=0.249, P0.05). Patients with dyslipidemia had more cardio-cerebral vessel incidents than patients with normal blood lipids(P0.01). Conclusion Dyslipidemia was often found in patients with LN, which is closely associated with the activity of the disease. Increased urine protein excretion appeared in patents with abnormal blood lipids, and lp(a) was associated with renal function. Furthermore, blood lipids abnormality emerged as a risk factor of cardio-cerebral vessel incidents in patients with LN.

Abstract: Objective To study the capability of nano-hydroxyapatite artificial bone in repairing large segmental bone defect and evaluate the process of revascularization. Methods The animal model of bone defect was made on the vilateral radius of 24 New Zealand white rabbits,which were randomly divided into the experimental group (the defect was repaired with Nano-HA artificial bone),control group(the defect was repaired with HA artificial bone) with 18 rabbits in each group. The ability of bone defect repair was evaluated by using radionuclide bone imaging,the results were compared with those of X-ray and histology at 2nd,4th,8th and 12th weeks postoperative’y. Results The counts of regions of interest(ROI) measure and the target to non-target ratios(T/NT) of the two groups indicate that the experimental group stimulated more bone formation than the control group. The differences in capability of bone’s reconstruction were statistically significant(P0.05). Conclusion The nano-HA artificial has good osteoconductibility,it can be used in clinical treatment of bone defects. Radionuclide imaging may be an effective and first choice metheod for early monitoring of the bone’s reconstruction.
