TL;DR: In this article, a sistema de silvicultura hipotetico de antiguos may as is used for construir and manejar distintos tipos de ecosistemas.

TL;DR: In this article, a series of authoritarian enclaves in which the old rules of the game still operate are identified as prime targets for political reform, with the victory of Vicente Fox in the July 2000 presidential elections.
Abstract: Over the last two decades, popular mobilization has pushed forward a halting, protracted process of political transition in Mexico. The old one-party regime has broken down, and democratic institutions have finally taken its place. But democratization has not proceeded at the same pace across all regions or spheres of government. As a result, Mexico9s new political order comprises a series of authoritarian enclaves in which the old rules of the game still operate. With the victory of Vicente Fox in the July 2000 presidential elections, these authoritarian enclaves represent prime targets for political reform.

TL;DR: It is shown that emigration has moved beyond its historical origins in west-central Mexico into the central region and, to a lesser extent, the southeast and border regions, and in the United States, traditional gateways continue to dominate, but a variety of new destinations have emerged.
Abstract: Using data from Mexico9s Matriicula Consular program, we analyze the geographic organization of undocumented Mexican migration to the United States. We show that emigration has moved beyond its historical origins in west-central Mexico into the central region and, to a lesser extent, the southeast and border regions. In the United States, traditional gateways continue to dominate, but a variety of new destinations have emerged. California, in particular, has lost its overwhelming dominance. Although the geographic structure of Mexico-U.S. migration is relatively stable, it has nonetheless continued to evolve and change over time.

TL;DR: Turnout patterns now resemble those of established democracies, where affluent and politically engaged citizens are more likely to participate than poorer, less informed, and rural voters who make up the Institutional Revolutionary Party9s traditional base as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: During the last decade, patterns of voter turnout in Mexico have changed dramatically. Turnout patterns now resemble those of established democracies, where affluent and politically engaged citizens are more likely to participate than poorer, less informed, and rural voters who make up the Institutional Revolutionary Party9s traditional base. Because those Mexicans most likely to vote are also those most likely to support the opposition, especially the National Action Party, changing partisan biases in electoral participation have had crucial consequences for Mexico9s political system.
