TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated the relationship between CO2 emission, real GDP, energy consumption, urbanization and trade openness for selected Central and Eastern European Countries (CEECs), including, Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Macedonia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovak Republic and Slovenia for the period of 1991-2011.
Abstract: This paper investigates the relationship between CO2 emission, real GDP, energy consumption, urbanization and trade openness for 10 for selected Central and Eastern European Countries (CEECs), including, Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Macedonia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovak Republic and Slovenia for the period of 1991–2011. The results show that the environmental Kuznets curve (EKC) hypothesis holds for these countries. The fully modified ordinary least squares (FMOLS) results reveal that a 1% increase in energy consumption leads to a %1.0863 increase in CO2 emissions. Results for the existence and direction of panel Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) Granger causality method show that there is bidirectional causal relationship between CO2 emissions - real GDP and energy consumption-real GDP as well.

TL;DR: A new generation of interdisciplinary socio-economic research on the matter in question seems to be progressively emerging in international literature as mentioned in this paper, and it gradually emerges the understanding that any attempt to interpret the individual contemporary socioeconomic phenomena, which relate to the crisis and the attempt to restructure globalization, can only be inadequate and ineffective, since it fails to fully approach the current dynamics of globalization in synthetic, holistic terms.
Abstract: The current global socio-economic crisis and restructuring reshapes the terms of study of the global dynamics as a whole. A new generation of interdisciplinary socio-economic research on the matter in question seems to be progressively emerging in international literature. Against this background, it gradually emerges the understanding, that any attempt to interpret the individual contemporary socio-economic phenomena, which relate to the crisis and the attempt to restructure globalization, can only be inadequate and ineffective, since it fails to fully approach the current dynamics of globalization in synthetic, holistic terms. In this direction, new interpretative approaches seem to intensify interpenetration and conceptual syntheses between the different fields of socio-economic sciences, in an increasingly unified perspective, by extensively "borrowing" –in a direct and indirect way– methods and theoretical "lenses" derived from system science, chaos theory, and evolutionary economics. In the depth of this methodological rearrangement, according to the position put forward in the following paper, it is crucial that an effort is made to move from a conjunctural to a structural perception of the crisis. Ultimately, the great challenge for the field of study of global dynamics nowadays is the transition from the methodological principles of the traditional mechanistic interpretative method to a coherent and integrated evolutionary socio-economic perspective.

TL;DR: In this paper, the impact of human capital on economic growth in Sudan for the period 1982-2009 by using a simultaneous equation model that links human capital i.e. school attainment; and investment in education and health to economic growth, total productivity, foreign direct investment, and human development index.
Abstract: This paper empirically investigates the impact of human capital on economic growth in Sudan for the period 1982-2009 by using a simultaneous equation model that links human capital i.e. school attainment; and investment in education and health to economic growth, total productivity, foreign direct investment, and human development index. Based on three-stage least squares technique, the empirical results of the paper show that quality of the education has a determinant role in the economic growth; health quality factor has a positive impact on economic growth as expected and total factor productivity which mainly represents the state of technology has adverse effect on economic growth and human development due to the obsolete and old fashion technology.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the effect of organizational justice and organizational environment on turn-over intention of health workers in Ekiti State, Nigeria, and found that organizational justice has a significant effect on turnover intention while organizational environment has no significant effect.

TL;DR: For example, Nguyen et al. as discussed by the authors analyzed the factors that are closely associated with employee satisfaction in both Vietnamese state-owned enterprise and foreign-owned enterprises in order to understand the difference of management practices.
Abstract: Human capital initiatives play a vital role in resolving the most pressing business challenges. The effective management of human poses new challenges in the organization for leadership and managerial capabilities. The current study aims to analyze the factors that are closely associated with employee satisfaction in both Vietnamese state-owned enterprise and foreign-owned enterprise in order to understand the difference of management practices. The response was taken from a sample of 250 respondents in either two types of business and the data are carried out by using multiple statistical analyses, including exploratory factor analysis, reliability test, mean point value, and multiple linear regressions. The results indicate that for the state-owned enterprise, recruitment process is the most important factor that helps to improve the satisfaction of employee. Besides, for the foreign-owned enterprise, as the results of the current study, performance appraisal process is the main point to solve employee‘s problems. The findings also provide useful implications for managers in terms of improving human capital quality, and stabilizing the labor resources and reducing the turnover rate for both state-owned enterprise and foreign-owned enterprises.
