Abstract: In June 1788 the printers Manuel Muniz and Antonio de Santa Maria set up to create a joint printing press reported as the first one to be established in Murcia city. One month later, they registered it at Francisco Bocio's record office in order to formalize this partnership and establish the conditions for its management. The information from this documentation together with other literature about the story of the Plano de San Francisco street printing shop cast light on a 18th century murcian press history section.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors discuss the active role played by archives in order to provide access to public information, considering them as natural custodians of administrative acts evidences, therefore, with a central position on the agenda of transparency and citizenship.
Abstract: The essay intends to discuss the active role played by archives in order to provide access to public information, considering them as natural custodians of administrative acts evidences, therefore, with a central position on the agenda of transparency and citizenship. The text aims to deal with key concepts of archives and of archival documents in order to discuss some of the relationships among these institutions and society. The right of information access surpasses a broader understanding of the active role of the archives, which cannot be restricted to the administrative state archives but has also to consider private archives with public and social interests, as exemplified by some Brazilians cases. Active and proof dimensions of archival documents are directly related to the four essential characteristics (cohesiveness, naturalness, impartiality and authenticity), as is demonstrated with other examples.

TL;DR: Evaluating the results of the process ofdigital inclusion among the supposedly included users of digital inclusion points, promoted by programs and projects of the Government and its partners, after having gone through qualification processes, workshops and other forms of mediation finds that the ones that say they are digitally included were people who believe that Internet changed their lives.
Abstract: This article aims ats evaluating the results of the process of digital inclusion among the supposedly included users of digital inclusion points, promoted by programs and projects of the Government and its partners, after having gone through qualification processes, workshops and other forms of mediation. The evaluation has as base the identification of variables that better explain the inclusion process and a multivariete analysis of these variables. Thus, factors had been identified that would allow to detect factors that have an impact in the inclusion process, such as the context of the user, his or her demographic profile, the social conditions, the use of and access to information and comunication technologies - ICTs, but also the evaluation, use and search of information by the user. An example is the search and employment of the information for the welfare of the community. In this study changes were detected to the degree in which explanations of variable or indicators are considered for the user to feel included, such as: sex, color/race, access to broadband Internet, infrastructure, available cellular telephone, available digital information in the Internet and social nets and a computer at home. The multivariate analysis selected that the determining factors of digital inclusion are in constant change, as the ownership of cell phone, a fixed telephone and computer at home. It was evidenced that the ones that say they are digitally included were people who believe that Internet changed their lives, know and use the Internet, participate in relationship sites, have the habit of reading the press and news in the WEB. In the study, the issues of schooling and range of income and geographic region continue to determine whether users feel included. Because of the universalization of cellular phones, this represents little to the included ones, which is different from having a computer at home. These results must be seen to the light of the research universe, of people of a disfavoured class, living in places with little telecommunications infrastructure, where the satellite is the most viable means to provide broadband Internet.

Abstract: The analysis presented is limited whitin the framework of the connection that exists among “libraries, information and coup d’etats”, therefore it fits as an aspect of analysis and study in the field of what is appropriate to call Political Library Science. The theory is made up by four headings: 1] Gabriel Naude, political librarian who coined the term coup d’etat, 2] The concept of coup d’etat in relation with the documentary and information world, 3] Libraries and coup d’etats, 4] Information and coup d’etats; the context is shaped by the following two sections: 5]The coup d’etat in Honduras, a danger for its libraries and librarians, and 6] The usurping government in Honduras attacks the freedom of access to information. In this way, the author perceives that coup d’etats show a great variety of facts regarding the period of repression and destruction that bibliographic traditions, libraries and librarians have suffered, among other figures of bibliographic culture.

TL;DR: It is concluded that VPB meets generally to the expectations of citizens, although there are areas for improvement such as schedules, better information and services activities and signage, among other aspects.
Abstract: We evaluated the services of the Valencia Public Library (VPB) through opinion from users. For it two discussion groups were created involving ten people in total. The results of the discussion groups were used to make a pilot survey and later a final survey was completed for four hundred VPB users. We conclude that VPB meets generally to the expectations of citizens, although there are areas for improvement such as schedules, better information and services activities and signage, among other aspects. It also confirms the chained system survey-focus groups as an enhanced system that optimizes the design of the survey.

TL;DR: An overview of the management trends in relation to Spanish libraries during the last five years is offered in this article, where the most significant issues identified have repercussions on the implementation of management techniques and on the management of library resources.
Abstract: An overview of the management trends in relation to Spanish libraries during the last five years is offered. The most significant issues identified have repercussions on the implementation of management techniques and on the management of library resources (collection, human resources, spaces, and equipment), showing some significant changes. Examination and analysis of the works published during that period in journals, and of proceedings of congresses, conferences and seminars, essentially, as well as the developments of working groups created within different professional associations, unveil the fundamental lines of interest. These are the lines on which professionals and teachers devoted to management have focused over that period, contributing experiences, reflections and solutions.

TL;DR: In this article, the citation distribution of a researcher reflects the impact of his production and determines the success of his scientific career, and some limitations to discriminate between researchers with different publication habits are presented.
Abstract: The citation distribution of a researcher reflects the impact of his production and determines the success of his scientific career. However, it is difficult to apply due to the bidimensional character. Some bibliometric indexes that try to synthesize with a numerical value the principal characteristics of this citation distribution have been proposed recently. In contrast with other bibliometric measures, the biases, that the distribution tails provoke, are eliminated by the h-index. On the other hand, some limitations to discriminate between researchers with different publication habits are presented. This index penalizes to selective researchers, distinguished by the number of citations instead of the number of publications, as compared to great producers. In this work, two original indexes are applied to the evaluation of Nobel Prize winners in Economics.
