La formacion del profesorado de enseñanza secundaria y la educacion cts. una cuestion problematica

Abstract: The Science/Technology/Society (STS) approaches are beginning to guide the science and technology teaching in the Secondary Education. After clarifying several meanings of STS, in this paper we argue about the teachers interest on the STS education and, likewise, we analyze various of the main difficulties that they have to incorporate it to the teaching. Finally, an initial ("pre-service") and permanent ("in-service") teacher training, which connect with their epistemological beliefs and attitudes toward the STS theme, with the education goals and with the classroom practice, is reclaimed.

La preparación del profesor para el cambio en la institución educativa

Abstract: espanolEl trabajo que presentamos, responde a una investigacion en la que, tomando los centros escolares como contexto de formacion, se utilizan formulas de trabajo colaborativo dirigidas al desarrollo profesional del docente. Son tres los pilares teoricos en los que se sustenta: 1) innovacion, 2) organizacion y 3) desarrollo profesional colaborativo. Se instala en el marco general de innovacion educativa con el proposito de mejorar un aspecto que entendemos crucial en la organizacion de centros escolares, la colaboracion de profesores. Partimos del modelo organizativo desarrollo organizacional fuertemente vinculado a la filosofia de innovacion al constituir un intento planeado de cambio-mejora en las organizaciones. EnglishThe work that we present, answers to a research in the one, taking school centers like context of formation, we use collaborative work formulas directed towards profesional development. There are three theoretic stands holding them: 1) innovation, 2) organization, 3) profesional collaborative development. We install in the general frame of educational innovation with the intention to improve an aspect that we understand very important in the organization in the school centers, the collaboration of teachers. We start of the organizative model organization development strongly closely together to the innovation philosophy to constitute a planned purpose of change-improvement in the organizations

Formacion y competencias del profesorado para la intervencion ante alumnos con dificultades de aprendizaje

Abstract: This article describes and evaluates the perception and/or understanding (belief) that about the learning disabilities have the teachers and teachers students. The answers of 281 subjects (75 teachers and 206 teacher students) at a questionaire to make up four areas: characteristics of learning disabilities, definition of leaming disabilities, competences for teachers of students with leaming disabilities, and models of intervention. Later, a cluster of teachers recognice 50 students with learning disabilities. This paper conclude with issues for aspects instructional and curriculum in teaching primary and secundary for teachers and students with leaming disabilities.

La interculturalidad en la escuela

Abstract: This paper presents a general picture of some issues on interculturality at school. The author deals with the integration of students from cultural minorities into school system. He contributes with some explanations and answers to the lack of success at school shown by children from cultural minorities. Throughout the paper, the role played by the teacher is emphasized even above and beyond the importance that can be attached to the set of techniques (cooperative learning and socioafective approach) he/she can make rise of in order to reach his/her educational objetives.

Problemas de la voz en el profesorado

Abstract: In this article its done a little study about the upsettings and difficulties of the voice in the educational collective. In it are treated different aspects such as: general understanding of the vocal pathology, incidence of the same on the collective, presentation artd usage of a serie principles in the vocal hygiene, finally altematives and suggestions are indicated, wich should be diffused the extensivest possible in order to overcome or at least improve this kind of upsettings at the teaching.

La formacion de profesores de alumnos superdotados

Abstract: The focus of this research has been on the teacher of the gifted. The professional development of teachers is an important aspect in the development of appropiate behavior for teachers of the gifted. In order to support the growing importance of teacher training, we propose a competency model based on modules of increasing content and depth to be used in different training modalities. Thus, the suggested emphasis and content for the modules on each level are: a) definition, characteristics, and psychological aspects about giftedness; b) identification instruments, teaching strategies; and c) analysis of assessment protocols, curriculum development, models of evaluation. Finnally, we found from our research that the characteristics most often used to designate the succesful teacher of the gifted was facilitator of learning; not every teacher should teach gifted students; and also gifted children no neccessary need gifted teacher.

La formación de la competencia cívica: bases teóricas y conceptuales

Abstract: In this paper, the author attemps to develop a general framework of civic education in light to a general theory of citizenship and according the recents contributions of political philosophy in the liberal-communitarian debate. The argument of the paper focus in two basic dimensions of civic education: the moral dimension, linked with the education of civic virtue, and the cognitive dimension, related with the idea of political judgment and the representative thinking.

Creatividad y Formación del Profesorado

Abstract: This reflection comes from the following queries: Does being a teacher mean necessarily being a creative person? Must the teacher become creative? Is creative training necessary for teachers? Is the teacher really able to become cresative? Who would teach teachers to be creative and how?. This article suggests some approximate answers to these questions, with the aim of offering a model for creative training. Our model tries to approach the different defects that we had previously detected by analysing the perspectives in the creative improvement of the teachers. This training project is one of the subjects offered in the new syllabus for teacher training at La Laguna University.

Abstract: The author looks at the various traditions which have informed the relative status of cross-curriculum and contents in the curriculum, and points out the controversy arising from their intersection He wonders about the logic applying to the selection of knowledge within the school culture, refuses considering the matter as one of technical rationality, and calls for a global and critical understanding of the curriculum as a contribition to social change He places controversy on the rearrangement of the logic lying behind the integration of contents, and disagrees with the idea of the cross-curriculum as mere new subjects to add The author also analyses the possibilities for the alternative grassroot movements to offer some clues and resources, leading to an alternative restructuring of school knowledge In order to facilitate this process, the author underlines the idea of creating some core 'meeting point fields'

Departments of Orientation and the teachers-tutors have more and more responsability in the global education of students, not only in contents. For this reason, it is necessary to endow of materials and programs which to make easy their diary and tutorial work and teamwork.

La educación estética en la Institución Libre de Enseñanza

Abstract: Through this work it is analysed the predilection that the men of this Institution felt for the art, the fundamental role that for them aesthetic education had and the way they cultivated it by taking care of the environment, the excursions, the sensitive education and the artistic teaching. In like manner it is emphasized the importance they gave to the knowledge of the folklore and the contact with nature for the students' formation.

Perspectivas teorico-educativas en la formacion de maestros

Abstract: Researches on teacher training have been linked to different paradigmatic orientations. In this paper, we have showed four perspectives or paradigms which have dominated the educational discussion in the last years: the traditional paradigm; the tecnical paradigm; the personal paradigm and the critical paradigm. We have defined their characteristics taking into account teo sets of variables: the ones called receptive/reflexive and problematic/affirmativa, analyzing the role thet the teacher has played in teaching.

These guidelines include the promotion of logical skills of argumentation, the democratic atmosphere in the classroom, moral attitude; moral reflection and action. El educador en los procesos de formación moral

Abstract: The aim of this article is autline the most important tendencies in moral education and see what kind of educational intervention is expected of the educator in each of them. In this review we will see moral education as socialisation, as clarification of values, as development and as the formation of moral habits. Desarrollo de los conocimientos lógico-matemáticos en sujetos con retraso ligero

Abstract: This work, with reference to fellows with slight mental retardations, trough the execution of a series of mathematical logic tasks, tries to know if the apprenticeship of these schooled fellows exists a progression of their mathematical logic knowledges, so that, it could be possible to establish evolutional tasks in their acquisition. Starting from the hypothesis on the equal age averages in the realization of the behaviours which were assembled in groups and it is expected to show significant differences statisticaly on a level with significance of 005 from among age averages of those groups or some of them assembled, so it could be possible to establish phases at the development of the mathematical logic thought of these fellows.

Valores y educacion para el desarrollo

Abstract: Development education can be viewed as a new demand in the last decade of the 21st century. The school not leave it out in its educational praxis. The purpose of the present paper is double to is intended: a) to clarifly the terms/concepts development, sostainable development and development education as they are currently understood; b) to examine the appropiate objectives, contents and methods so conducive to the implementation of a development education syllabus in the class.

Esquizofrenia y Musicoterapia

Abstract: El presente trabajo pretende ofrecer una experiencia de Musicoterapia realizada en el marco de un Centro de Salud Mental. La Musicoterapia esta incluida dentro de las actividades que realizan los pacientes del Hospital de dia. El trabajo resume la actividad desarrollada en dos grupos de pacientes durante un ano, desarrollando el encuadre de la experiencia, caracteristicas de los pacientes, la metodologia empleada y valoracion de lo que ha supuesto la inclusion de la Musicoterapia en un equipo terapeutico multidisciplinar. La experiencia es unica en el Estado Espanol dentro de la sanidad publica

Satisfacción personal y académica de los futuros profesores

Abstract: RESUMEN En un momento de controversia social sobre el colectivo docente, creemos que puede ser de interes abordar temas como la satisfaccion personal y academica de los alumnos universitarios, futuros docentes, puesto que las expectativas profesionales se determinan en buena medida por las imagenes que se tienen de dichas profesiones. Nuestro trabajo, realizado sobre una muestra de 780 alumnos de las distintas especialidades que se imparten en la Facultad de Educacion, constata que la poblacion sigue siendo mayoritariamente femenina, con un estatus social medio y con un interes hacia la carrera dudoso. Todo esto confirma que los futuros docentes estan condicionados a ejercer una profesion devaluada social y academicamente desde el inicio.

Algunas consideraciones en torno al proceso enseñanza-aprendizaje de la física en la Universidad

Abstract: The basic objective of this paper is to present and analyze some didactic aspects of the teaching of Physics at the university level. In order to do this, we must first set the bases or suppositions that underlie the methods we use such as a combination of theoretical and practical classes an lab sessions. In addition to these we hold office hours and tutorial sessions for the students. This paper has been structured around these methodological approaches or "blocks" and includes some reflections on the individual work students should carry ut to truly achieve an adequate level of preparation in the subject matter. This task is none too easy, as teaching experience shows us. However, planning must be related to goals and the means we have available to meet these goals so that we can assure succes. Finally, we include a brief explanation of the evaluation process we use.

Algunas reflexiones sobre los temas transversales en la logse: limitaciones y posibilidades que tienen los docentes para llevar a cabo una enseñanza en valores

Abstract: In this paper some reflections are made on what is the educational model proposed by the LOGSE (General Law of the Educational System) in relation to education on values and crossthemes, and the role the teacher should play to organize teaching and learning strategies which allow the student to learn values. Teacher's limitations and possibilities to implement the teaching on values are described.

El fracaso escolar de los niños gitanos a la perplejidad ante un sistema social y escolar instalados en la contradicción

Abstract: Learning is not only an individual or cognitive processbut a social and affective one too. We live in a two-faced society (democratic principles vs. competitiveness, racist stereotypes and segregation) where the schooling system is assigned contradictory functions. This situation arises defensive positions, strains and rivalries between schools. In these circumstances there is a risk for the students coming from ethnic minorities to receive doubtful messages from their own parents, teachers and school partners. These messages block their apprenticeship and lead them to detach from the system - leaving school, for instance, will confirm their social exile. Any possible altemative will require the strongest support to social and emotional links from the different school agents. PALABRAS CLAVE

La orientacion educativa y los equipos psicopedagogicos: propuesta desde la teoria

Abstract: The following contributions show our opinion about the work of the External Teams of Support to schools. Our aim is to offer a framework which collects the theoretical and methodological principles where programmes will be based on. This proposal, which considers the educational guidance as the sense of the development resulted from the classrooms life that justifief the work of the teams, is based on the prevention and development and it considers guides as stock-brokers. This article also underlines three central questions that programmes of intervention really must collect: family environments, collaborative work between teams and teachers and the role of the media and computing.

El entrenamiento cognitivo-social de profesores en formación: evaluación cuasi-experimental de su eficacia

Abstract: This article reports on the implementation of a social cognitive training programme that we carried out in a School of Teacher Education (University of Valladolid at Palencia) during 1993-94. This programme had two goals: (1) student teachers should gain some control on cognitive structures and processes, and (2) they had to acquire the disposition and ability to pay attention and select the students behaviour and social context cues that further enhance learning. The results about the effectiveness of this cognitive training are not very promising, but they demonstrate that some aspects such as implicit personality theories can be modified. Simultaneously, conclusions suggest important implications and future directions for teacher education in social cognitive areas.

Sistemas de apoyo para una escuela integradora de los alumnos discapacitados: análisis crítico desde la perspectiva de los deficientes mentales

Abstract: In this paper two altemative support models for ordinary teachers are shown. They combine the permanent teacher training based on the action-research with the improvement of the educative quality in schools to allow the mainstreaming for children with special needs in regular schools.
