TL;DR: In this article, an esterification of benzoic acid with methyl alcohol using chltosan sulfate as a catalyst was studied. But the experimental result showed that when the amount of catalyst was 1.0g, reaction time was 4h and the mole of alcohol to acid was 5∶1, the yield of the product was 90.56% and the catalyst could be used repeatedly for many times.

Abstract: The average liquid-drop diameter(Sauter diameter) in liquid-liquid turbulence system and residence time distribution(RTD) of fluids in solid-liquid mixing system were determined in five geometrically similar nitration reactors installed double coil under different conditions. The empirical formula of Sauter diameter and flow model of RTD were proposed and the relevant parameters were determined by experiments. The experimental results show that there is the optimum pilot volume of the nitration reactor in heterogeneous nitration reactor scale up. [WT5HZ]

Abstract: The production processes of chloroacetyl chloride(CAC) are expounded.The emphasis is put on the techno economic evaluation of two step method from acetic acid used as original raw material.The current situation and its development trend of CAC is also given.In consideration of superiority of raw material in our company,some sugguestions on the development of CAC are put forward.
