Abstract: To study the antioxidant activity of Cordyceps sinensis, Cordyceps militaris and Cordyceps Kyushuensis, and to observe the effect of experiment condition on the results. The chemiluminescence was used to determine the activity of three Cordyceps sp. On scavenging superoxide anion radicals (O 2-). Results: In three Cordyceps sp., Cordyceps militaris had the highest antioxidant activity; Cordyceps sinensis and Cordyceps kyushuenis had near antioxidant activity. It is showed that Cordyceps militaris and Cordyceps kyushuenis have good prospects, and also can be hoped to be applied in clinic by replacing Cordyceps sinensis.

Abstract: To observe the clinical effects “Jianpi Xiaoliu Decoction” plus chemotherapy in the prevention of postoperative colorectal carcinoma recurrence and metastasis, 53 subjects were randomized into two groups: treatment group in which 28 cases were treated by chemotherapy and “Jianpi Xiaoliu Decoction” and control group in which 25 cases were treated by simple chemotherapy. Results: The recurrence rate was lower in treatment group than in control group (P0.05); the life quality was better in treatment group than in control group (P0.05). It is concluded that “Jianpi Xiaoliu Decoction” plus chemotherapy has better effects than simple chemotherapy in prevention of postoperative colorectal recurrence and metastasis.

Abstract: Objective To observe the clinical effects of"Dunye Guanxinning Tablet"in treating coronary angina pectoris of qi-blood stagnation.Methods Two hundred and forty subjects were randomized into two groups:observation group in which 180 cases were treated with "Dunye Guanxinning Tablet"and control group in which 60 cases were treated with "Fufang Danshen Tablet".Result After 8-week treatment,the angina pectoris,electrocardiogram result,syndrome and symptom improvements,the frequency and lasting time of angina pectoris,blood rheology and blood lipid in observation group were similar to those in control group.Conclusion "Dunye Guanxinning Tablet"has positive effects on coronary angina pectoris of qi-blood stagnation.
