Abstract: The Bulletin has recorded from time to time the plans and progress of this expedition, with statements of the results as they have come to hand., Sir Douglas Mawson, leader of the expedition, in his paper read before the Royal Geographical Society on June 19, supplied a comprehensive account of the entire work, with a summary of the scientific results. The object of the expedition was to investigate the Antarctic Continent to the south of Australia, a region where the continent was supposed to extend far to the north, but concerning which only the most scanty information was at hand. Since 1840 no man had been within the limits of the Antarctic Circle
