A complete system for the analysis of architectural drawings
TLDR
A complete system for the analysis of architectural drawings, with the aim of reconstructing in 3D the represented buildings, and a proposed 3D modeling process which matches reconstructed floors is presented.Abstract:
In this paper, we present a complete system for the analysis of architectural drawings, with the aim of reconstructing in 3D the represented buildings. We successively describe the graphics recognition algorithms used for image processing and feature extraction, the 2D modeling step, which includes symbol recognition and converts the drawing into a description in terms of basic architectural entities, and a proposed 3D modeling process which matches reconstructed floors. The system also includes a powerful and flexible user interface.read more

Improved Automatic Analysis of Architectural Floor Plans
TL;DR: This paper proposes a novel complete system for automated floor plan analysis that outperforms previous systems and introduces novel preprocessing methods, e.g., the differentiation between thick, medium, and thin lines and the removal of components outside the convex hull of the outer walls.

Safety risk identification system for metro construction on the basis of construction drawings
TL;DR: The safety risk identification system (SRIS) for metro construction based on construction drawings is presented, which can be applied to the pre-construction risk assessment process to identify potential safety hazards, identify risks automatically and provide a basis for dynamic risk early warning and control.

A new algorithm for error-tolerant subgraph isomorphism detection
B.T. Messmer,Horst Bunke +1 more
TL;DR: A new algorithm for error-correcting subgraph isomorphism detection from a set of model graphs to an unknown input graph is proposed based on a compact representation of the model graphs that can be combined with a future cost estimation method that greatly improves its run-time performance.
