Apparatus and method for fabricating a high voltage winding for a toroidal transformer
TLDR
In this paper, a toroidal transformer with a low voltage coil, a high voltage coil and an annular magnetic core is described, where the preferred low voltage and high voltage coils are each continuous and form an arcuate elongated passage.Abstract:
A toroidal electrical transformer having a low voltage coil, a high voltage coil and an annular magnetic core is disclosed. The preferred low voltage and high voltage coils are each continuous and form an arcuate elongated passage therethrough. The preferred annular magnetic core is wound in place in said arcuate elongated passage substantially from a continuous strip of magnetic material resulting in a toroidal transformer with continuous windings and a continuous wound core. Various components and sub-assemblies are also disclosed along with various apparatus and methods for producing such toroidal electrical transformers, its components and its sub-assemblies.read more

Common mode choke coil
Takahiro Azuma,Tetsuya Morinaga,Takahiro Aoki,Yoshie Nishikawa,Shinya Hirai,Yoshimasa Goto,Yasushi Saito,Yu Ishiwata +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors considered a common mode choke coil with two laminated coil conductors, a first magnetic substrate arranged on one of the coils conductors and a second magnetic substrate placed on the other coil conductor, and they showed that the leakage inductance due to the difference in the distance decreases, and the cutoff frequency with respect to differential mode signal can be increased.

Non-circular perfect layer electrical coils
TL;DR: An unorthodox cross-sectional shape for the bobbin or mandrel upon which wire is wound makes possible high speed production of non-circular perfect layer coils as discussed by the authors, which makes it possible to produce perfect layer wire with high speed.
