PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article storage facility and a method for warehousing a container in an article storage facility capable of enhancing an efficiency of a whole sorting work of articles on a downstream side of a storage device even when allocation of the same article is overlapped in the sorting work on the downstream side of the storage device of the container.SOLUTION: An article storage facility 20 includes an automated warehouse 22 for storing a storage container 90 storing articles to deliver the storage container 90 storing the articles according to the order number of the articles from the automated warehouse 22, and includes a warehousing/delivering device 30 for warehousing or delivering the storage container 90 storing the articles to the automated warehouse 22 and a conveyer controller 35 calculating the number of the storage container 90 warehoused in the automated warehouse 22 according to the order number of the articles delivered from the automated warehouse 22, wherein the warehousing/delivering device 30 warehouses the storage containers 90 storing the articles distributed to the storage containers 90 of the number calculated by the conveyer controller 35 in the automated warehouse 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1read more
