Academic advising in two‐year colleges

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the academic advisement of students in two-year colleges on a statewide basis, to compare the present status of academic advisements in two-'year colleges in New York State with the results and directions cited in a nationwide survey, and to suggest ways in which institutions might further develop and improve systems for the academic advising of students.

Investigating the hypothesized factor structure of the Noel-Levitz Student Satisfaction Inventory: A study of the student satisfaction construct.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the tenability of the theoretical dimensional structure of the Noel-Levitz Student Satisfaction Inventory (SSI), investigated an alternative factor structure using explanatory factor analyses (EFA), and used multiple-group CFA procedures to determine whether an alternative SSI factor structure would be invariant for three demographic variables: gender (men/women), race/ethnicity (Caucasian/Other), and undergraduate classification level (lower level/upper level).
