Green Banking : One Effort To Achieve The Principle Of Good Corporate Governance (GCG)

Government banks have a higher level of trust in society, as most of these shares are owned by the Government. Ratio used to assess a bank’s performance is the Return on Asset ratio. Each bank will try to keep its Return on Asset ratio consistently rising and the Non Performing Loan ratio consistently falling. But the phenomenon is that the ratio of Return on Asset and Non Performing Loan at the Government Bank fluctuated from 2014 to 2019. I will therefore examine the factors that affect the ratio of Return on Assets and Non-Performing Loans to government banks. In this study, the ratios used were Non Performing Loan, Net Interest Margin, Capital Adequacy Ratio as an independent variable, Loan to Deposit Ratio as an intervening variable and Return on Asset on its dependent variables. The result that the Variable Loan to Deposit Ratio mediates the relationship between Net Interest Margin and Return on Asset.

Effects of intervening loan to deposit ratio on profitability

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of profitability, financial leverage, and dividend policy on income smoothing in manufacturing companies registered on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016-2018 with firm size as a moderating variable. This study used 38 manufacturing companies as a sample in this study and analysis of logistic regression. The results of this study indicated that profitability has a significant negative effect on income smoothing; firm size has a significant positive effect on income smoothing. In contrast, financial leverage and dividend policy have an insignificant effect on income smoothing. Firm size weakens profitability and the effect of dividend policy on income smoothing while firm size does not moderate financial leverage's effect on income smoothing.

Factors Influencing Income Smoothing Practices With Firm Size Moderation

The sharia banking main characteristics provide alternative systems by which banks and customers share profits with specific emphasis on fair treatment, ethical investments, and kinship relationship in the production process and avoidance of speculation. Measuring sharia banking performance by applying CAMELS is considered weak in describing non-financial aspects, which shows sharia ethics and the spirituality of sharia banking. Therefore, the ANGELS method can be considered as an alternative one in assessing sharia banking performance. This research applies Bayani, Burhan, and infant epistemological approaches. The result shows that the implementation of sharia principles in sharia banking practice in Makassar still need sharia literacy awareness among sharia banking practitioners since sharia banking is a potential market in the future.

Managing with Sharia: Strengthening Sharia Banking Spiritual Literation

The purpose of the company is to increase firm value. But in the last six years, the firm value of the banking sector has fluctuated and even tends to decrease. The level of banking health can be expected to increase firm value. The level of banking health can be measured using the Risk Profile (RP), Good Corporate Governance (GCG), Earning, Capital (RGEC) method which is the latest formula after Capital, Asset Quality, Management, Earning, Liquidity (CAMEL). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of banking health on the firm value. The research method uses partial panel data regression through the determination of the estimation model and the classical assumption test in advance using 33 banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The results showed that there was a significant and positive effect between Return on Asset (ROA) and Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) on firm value. Besides, there was a positive but not significant effect between GCG and risk profile on firm value. The results showed that capital is a factor of business developer and company earning can show as a signal of quality prospects. The application of GCG is not a significant influence because the results of self-assessment are not following fraud that occurs. Banks must be able to manage their risk so that the risk can be an encouragement for them to produce high values.
