Abstract: 
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bell-mouth for an air blower and a range hood furnished with the air blower, improved so that the noise value in association with the influx resistance generated at the suction port of a casing can be lowered without dropping the exhausting ability of a fan. SOLUTION: A ring-shaped swellout part 13 curved downward is formed in the circumferential part of the bell-mouth 12 mating with the downward-facing suction port 11 in the casing of the air blower 1 of horizontal installation type. The downward swelling shape of this swellout part 13 is formed in such a taper as inclined toward the inclination bottom part 20 so that the side with the circumferential part P1 intersecting the straight line L passing the axis P viewed on the plan becomes the inclination bottom 20 on the circumference of the bell-mouth 12, and thereby it is possible to lower effectively the noise value dB (A) associated with the influx resistance of the waste gas.
