TL;DR: In 1961 one of the authors made a retrospective study, in which results obtained from 470 cataract operations performed by using zonulolysis and an equal number of the same kind of operations without zonULolysis were compared to each other, it was verified then that there were noticeably better results with alphachymotrypsin.
