Seasonal variations in the stable carbon and nitrogen isotope ratios (13C/12C and 15N/14N) of primary producers and consumers in a western Mediterranean coastal lagoon

TL;DR: It is concluded that the examined fish species can assume a new muscle isotopic signature relatively quickly in response to changes in the isotopic composition of their diet and/or diet shifts, suggesting the presence of intra- and inter-specific resource partitioning.
Journal ArticleDOI

A review of terms and definitions to categorise estuaries, lagoons and associated environments

TL;DR: This analysis provided evidence for the occurrence of two major groups of attributes: hydrological and geomorphic.
Journal ArticleDOI

Morphometric assessment of intermittently open/closed coastal lagoons in New South Wales, Australia

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors provide a framework for the assessment of the natural sensitivity of coastal lagoons to anthropogenic and other external inputs, based on analysis and consideration of morphometric characteristics.

Seagrass research methods

TL;DR: Seagrass research methods as discussed by the authors, which is a method for detecting seagrasses, have been used extensively in the literature for many years now, including the past few decades.

Manual for Investigation of Hydrological Processes in Mangrove Ecosystems

TL;DR: In this article, a case study of the Klong Ngao near Ranong, Thailand is presented, where the hydrological processes in these ecosystems are described and several hints on how to analyze the data are given.
