Abstract
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition for lenses of synthetic resin, capable of showing an excellent productivity and good basic characteristics in a well- balanced manner by using a specific curing catalyst. SOLUTION: This composition is obtained by including, as a main component, (A) a composite oxide fine particles comprising tin oxide, titanium oxide, and zirconium oxide and (B) a compound of the formula (R 1 is an organic group having a polymerizable reaction group; R 2 is an 1-6C hydrocarbon; X 1 is a hydrolyzable group; and (n) is 0 or 1) and by including, as a curing catalyst, (C) one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of (i) an acetylacetonate having Fe(III), Al(III), Sn(IV), or Ti(IV) as the central metal, (ii) magnesium perchlorate or ammonium perchlorate, (iii) an aliphatic saturated or unsaturated carboxylic acid, or aromatic carboxylic acid or its anhydride, and a mixture thereof, and (D) an acetylacetonate having Li(I), Cu(II), Mn(II), or Mn(III) as the central metal.
